Affordable & Working OBDI Cable & Adapter for BMWs! Worked on E39!
Went to do a diagnostics and inspection on a customer's BMW 2000 528i Series. I connected both my USB & Ethernet OBD2 cables to this one (OBDI) and they worked correctly. It was easy and straightforward to use. Just find the port, plug in the OBD2 cable onto this one (OBDI), and you should be good to go. In my case, the E39 diagnostics port was located in Engine Bay. It seems to be compatible with older generation and model year BMWs utilizing the diagnostics port in the engine bay or the 20 Pin OBDI connectors. It reads fine, not super-fast like Ethernet connection, but about as fast as USB 2.0 will allow. Using ISTA+, this OBDI cable does everything I need. When using ProTools, not so much, due to ProTools not fully supporting E39.

Works great I can tune with this and read codes for my 2000 bmw 338ci

Adapter works good
The adapter fitted correctly to my obd2 scanner, was a little stiff at the beggining,but works good. Connection to the cars obd port worked without any problems and I was able to connect the scanner to the car ( BMW E46 )

Horrible product tried to use this on my 1994 bmw as well a few other bmws and my scanner won’t connect to the vehicle. I’ve tried on my little blue point scanner. My solus edge and a atlis. Do not recommend for early model bmws
