Arsvita CD Laser Lens Cleaner Disc Cleaning Set for CD/VCD/DVD Player, Safe and Effective

My F150 CD player was getting balky - it would play about half the first track of a CD and then produce an error. I tried 9 different CDs, both factory and self-burned, all behaved the same. I tried this cleaning disk for only 10 minutes (it says to run it for 30 min) and CDs are now playing normally again. The problem is the CD player lens collects dust; it points upward and there is nothing to protect it when not in use, so it naturally collects dust and lint and can't read the CD. I used to remove the cover of home CD players and manually clean the lens and get them going again. But this cleaner is much easier. BTW, the directions say to NOT use any cleaning fluid, and I did not.

We recently bought a 2013 Chevrolet Suburban for a 3rd run-around vehicle. The CD/DVD system was basically dead and had a hard time reading/recognizing any discs that were input...it played one CD very briefly & quit. I had little hope of this thing ever working. I did a Google search for possible fixes and the Arsvita CD Laser Lens Cleaner Disc popped up as a possible solution. Checked it out on Amazon and read the reviews and for the price, it was worth a try as I essentially had nothing to lose. Inserted the Arsvita disc and the player unit didn't initially like it...it tried to play the cleaner disc but would skip horribly....so, I ejected the disc, gently blew on the bristles to hopefully get rid of dust/dirt particles & retried and it started played/cleaning. As it moved through the additional tracks (6 total) it would sometimes experience a bit of the same issues in skipping. Each time, I ejected the disc, blew on the bristles and resumed it from the track that had issues. Finally, after all 6 tracks were successfully played, I tried a handful of random CDs & DVD and everything works just fine and dandy! I am impressed! I now need to run this cleaning disc through the CD player radios in our classic/collector cars as I know they have never been cleaned. As the cleaning disc does its thing, it plays different songs throughout the 6 tracks and runs about 20 minutes or so (add time if you need to restart like I did). Again, I am impressed with the results of the Arsvita CD Laser Lens Cleaner Disc. This is one recommendation that you can count on.

I still have tons of CDs which I play everyday. This Disc cleaner did a great job. I like it better that the one I bought a while ago at a store as the disc plays various pieces of music while cleaning. Once the music stops, it has done it's job. I also have many DVDs and it did a great job there as well. Also, this Disc Cleaner can be used more than one time.

It works good but the location of the brushes is a bit odd; the other cleaning CD's that I've seen have the brushes near the center; I used it following the instructions and it think it cleaned the lens of my CD player, but sometimes I still have skips during playback. That's why I deduct 1 star from the rating. I'll try another type of CD cleaner just to compare.

CD player in an older 2000 model car was skipping at ever bump in the road. I had no clue if this would help but for the price it was worth trying. It completely solved my problem.

Did not work with my CD player. Had to return. The return was easy which I appreciated.

Excellent job of cleaning the CD laser. I was having problems with a lot of skipping on my ancient CD player. I tried an old CD cleaner without much success. I ordered another one to try before taking the player in for repairs and it did an excellent job and no need to get the old player repaired.

Honest review of Arsvita CD Laser Lens Cleaner Disc Cleaning Set for CD/VCD/DVD Player, Safe and Effective @ $8.99 at time of order. I ordered this hoping it would resolve the issue that I had with an older car with a 6-CD changer that I acquired in that it did not appear to be reading the CDs. I inserted this cleaning disc in the changer, it loaded, but nothing happened except for the same blinking on my CD player screen as with any other CD. So, I inserted this cleaning disc into my newer vehicle’s CD player. It immediately loaded and began playing music while displaying an icon likened to the disc cleaning. I shared all of this in the event that perhaps others would know to try it a CD/DVD/VCD player that you know is working if this cleaning disc does not work in one that you were having problems with already. I was not experiencing any problems with my newer vehicle’s CD player, so this was utilized as a maintenance cleaner in it. Other than saying it might take up to 30 minutes to complete cleaning, there are ZERO instructions or guidelines. Made in China, of course. Likes: Amazon Prime shipping, returns & refunds. Reasonable price. Ease of use. Plays music so you know it’s at least being read by the player. A cleaning/playing icon appears on my vehicle’s touch screen as an added notification that it is doing something. Glasses lens-type CD cleaning cloth provided. Dislikes: It seems that 20 to 30 minutes cleaning time is too long. I cannot afford to let my vehicle sit and idle while this cleans. I don’t want to take a chance of running the battery down somehow by just leaving the key with the accessory position on. So, I must use it while driving, and the music is not really my cup of tea (like what you might hear in an elevator). Meh: Arrived undamaged although it was shipped in its thin “CD box” and inside a CD storage case, in a non-padded, thin mailer. It has a limited number of recommended uses (about 30 according to the instructions), and it does not say what will happen or what to look for after the maximum number of uses has been reached. Made in China. Hopefully this honest review helps someone decide about this product.

I got this set to keep my player clean and playing efficiently. The player is now performing as if new. I'm very happy with this set. It's a good value.

The lens error could not be rectified even after multiple cycles of use

Decidí darle una oportunidad al producto ignorando las malas reseñas y termine arrepintiendo me en grande. No solo no sirvió para su función, además, daño el láser del reproductor de CD y ahora no lee ningún CD, la peor compra ya que no puedo reclamar lo que me costará reparar mi reproductor o comprar uno nuevo.

I used it once and it seems to have stopped my CD from freezing up or skipping. I think it's a very good product
