Top Quality Subwoofer at Great Price
I was a a little unsure about this subwoofer for a few reasons 1. I have never owned JBL Subwoofers 2. The rms power is rated at 200 watts & 3. The price was among the cheapest around for 10" shallow mount. Let me start by saying that I have had alot of custom systems in my life from (1) 10" sub up to (4) 12" subs from brands like Kicker, JL Audio & Alpine. I have it in a ground-shaker sealed box at .96 cubic feet. Under the rear seat of a 2015 GMC Canyon with a Alpine MRV-M500 @ 4ohms pushing 300 watts to it. I also have JBL GX Series 6x9 & 6 3/4 with a Alpine MRV-F300. This thing shakes my entire interior from the my mirrors to the bottle in the cup holder. I cannot believe how low this sub hits and how clean and clear it stays even at high volume. Without looking you would never know I have a shallow mount. Its definitely under rated at 200 watts, as I said above I am running 300 watts to it all day and it handles it great. The switchable 2 to 4 ohm voice coil is one of the major selling points for me as it gives you alot more freedom when selecting amps. I highly recommend this subwoofer, but you definitely want to give it a min .75 cubic feet air space and over 200 watts to get the full potential out of it.

Good bang for the buck.
I have a 2017 tundra crew max and I just put in 2 10” JBL subs and wired them and series with the factory JBL amp and sounds great for $200. I was just looking for a little extra bump because the factory sub was a paper sub.

Sounds amazing
Replaced a shallow Rockford with this JBL 10” mounted in a small sealed box. Sound is incredible considering it comes from a shallow sub inside such a small box. Way better than the sub that was in there. Installed inside a F150 crew cab. Sub is heavy and built well. Overall very impressed!

Great small box woofer
I am impressed by this woofer. I built a very small fiberglass enclosure to live behind the wheel well of a 12th gen Corolla hatchback to house this speaker. The combination exceeded expectations. The woofer also seams to be underrated when it comes to power handling. The switchable 2 and 4 ohm setting really opens up the world of future upgrades.

I blew it up didn’t even last all summer
It’s rated at 200 rms and they mean it it really would sound amazing if it could hit 220 at least… also the “cut-out” diameter of the speaker is bigger than any other speaker this size 9 and 7/16” if I remember correct the 2-4 ohm is nice I want to buy a second one but no one makes a box that it will drop in without modification if I could do it again I’d get a skar for my set up amp is an old mrp500 that’s absolutely too strong for this little guy especially at 2 ohm.

Not a standard size
Got this sub yesterday and was stoked to get it going. Took my old sub out of the box and went to drop this one in. Wouldn’t fit. Which I thought was weird. Maybe the box is weird. Tried this sub in two other 10 inch boxes. Wouldn’t fit any of them. All the other subs fit the other boxes fine. Even wagon wheeled the subs and boxes. No problem. This sub is just different. I’m not mixing my box in case I don’t like this sub. Returning and getting a standard sub. Just take this into account.

Shallow mount good and bad
Well, it is shallow. Unfortunately in my fitment (LX570) the factory enclosure assumes a 'classical sub' shape (tapering), so the boxy shape of the shallow mount was all kinds of interference. I used a 3/4" deep spacer and all is well with the world. Of course the spacer means the sub is into the quarter panel cover now, but where there is a will and trimming there is a way. Fully the enclosure not the sub, but I think this will be rather common issue for those retrofitting and you need to be aware. Also as the hole wasn't deep enought the 'switch' for the impedence broke off during test fit. Easily solved by soldering it back up into parallel and removing the switch, but still, that shouldn't happen. While we're on the topic, the switch is just a regular PCB, so if you are truly high current you'll want to replace that with actual wires anyhow. The traces weren't particularly impressive. So, how does it sound? I'm driving it post DSP, and with a bridged micro-amp, so maybe have 120W at best going to it. It sounds good. I'm sure with more power it will sound even better. Nothing to complain about, and promising enough to invest in wiring it fully with a dedicated amp at some point soon.

This product was amazing and great timing.
I got the sub for my car and it was great but the wrong size on my behalf. The audio store was quick on my return. I'm going to repeat the right speaker through them just for my great experience I want to make sure they get the business. I highly recommend them. Product was supposedly used but looked brand-new I was pissed I had to return it. I even tried looking for a fitting for it to keep it but the husband said no just return and reorder the right size lol

does not fit typical 10 inch box
Does not fit typical box, too big, also does not sound good in a shallow set up.
