Great for mycology
Used to grow out mushroom cultures. Worked great, colonized quickly and every one was sterile.

NO TAPE
I dont know if these normally come without tape on the edges but I was caught very flat-footed, thinking I'd have everything I need for a petri dish to be a petri dish. I improvised with household tapes and the experiment quickly tanked. The agar seemed plenty growable though

Clean and well made
Came in sterile, and worked amazingly as a growing medium. Definitely helpful when time/conditions don't permit for pouring your own plates.

Great plates but I would not highly recommend for mycology work, my mycelium did not seem to care for the tartaric acid at all.
