Easy to see if you have 350+ moly in your closed water line for a central boiler. I used my pool pH strips to test pH levels

I am in industrial water treatment and am trying to maintain moly in ranges of 100 to 200 ppm. I was hoping to use these strips as a quick verification of inhibitor levels. When compared against the DR 900 high range moly test there was a fairly large discrepancy. For example the sticks indicated between 250 and 300 ppm and the DR 900 came up with 105 ppm. Where I do see this as a good application would be to simply identify if the loop still has molybdate in it. Also the colors seem to stay consistent so if you were to measure the color overtime you should notice if it drops significantly indicating that you need to add more chemical. So for a quick go no go test this works perfectly but if you were trying to maintain a specific range I would recommend using the actual spectrophotometer method.
