I knit with 1.25 wide strips cut from old sheets. How hard do you think it would be to cut these strips in down the middle. I use the rotary cutter.

It's doable, but I'm not sure it's practical. If you are going to use a ruler and rotary to cut them, I think it would be easier to just buy an assortment of 1/4 or even 1/8 yard cuts and cut them. Same amount of work. I also think keeping the precut strips straight so you get an accurate 1 1/4" strips would be challenging.

Can you use this for rugs

Quite possibly. The strips are 2-1/2” wide and about 44” in length and are 100% cotton. There are 40 of them to a roll. (Quilters call them jelly rolls!) Machine washable. They are predominantly used for quilting but if put together lengthwise I don’t see why it couldn’t be used to make a braid then a sewn together to make a rug. Oval or round.

Beautiful designs!

Absolutely delighted with the fabric selection. Vibrant colours and designs and the size is as stated in the description of this item. The vertical edges are “crimped”, so no fraying at all. Very pleased with this product and would definitely buy again.

Wonderful fabric, made a beautiful Jellyroll rug!

Perfect for making my daughter a Jellyroll rug. She absolutely loved it, and the fabric did not fray and was easy to sew. Worth every penny, and the colors were beautiful.

Quality product

I'm pleased with the quality of this jelly roll fabric, not only that it feels like decent cotton fabric also you can tell a decent fabric by the quality of the prints, ie its vibrant, no bleeding of the colours, the edges of the patterns are nice and sharp, and the fabric strips have been cut well, micro pinking to help stop fraying and you can use the quarter inch seams with confidence, granted this jelly roll is a little more expensive than most but certainly worth it....in my opinion
