Great battery maintainer
I am a service manager and have purchased several of these battery maintainers for my technicians to use while they perform lengthy software updates. The brand we work for (I won't call them out) has a similar product that they sell for 10 times this amount. We have been using these for well over 2 years now and they have held up and have not given us any issues with the exception of 1 unit which the company was happy to warranty out for us very quickly. I highly recommend these battery maintainers.

Maintained power supply during diagnostics & coding
PowerMax power supply was the perfect charger to maintain battery during diagnostic and coding of ecu's. Great value for the money. Heavy duty clamps with cable provided in a zip-up storage pouch.

Itโs simplicity is why i like it
I love this for itโs simplicity. Itโs either on, or itโs off. No settings to change. No time outs or other smart box features to worry about. I connect it to a vehicle, turn it on, and itโs already dialed in at a perfect voltage range for passthru programming of most cars. Literally set it and forget it. That peace of mind is invaluable for passthru programming. Runs between 13.6 and 14.4 vdc depending on the vehicleโs โignition onโ load. Cables are a bit long but I shortened mine to minimize voltage drop between the supply and the clamps. Cooling fan comes and goes as it should. Iโve ran mine on a program event for 3 hours without any issues. Would definitely buy this one again if i ever have to.

So far so good.
OK. First of all the instructions are terrible. You would think that someone in the United States would simply write a one page instruction sheet, run it off on a printer and throw it in the box, but no. They have this horrible Chinglish information sheet which you have to decipher. If you are used to a simple, inexpensive battery charger, you can forget about that this one is bulky, and if you use the suggested 6 AWG grounding table (not supplied), IT GETS BULKIER. But it works for those long programming/ diagnostic sessions. Also a pretty great battery charger.

Great value compared to others
Still use it daily. Good clean power supply. It's been about a year. Use it for auto programming and diagnostic.

Just What I needed
Using it for battery maintenance when troubleshooting. AC ripple is very low. Would not start a car when connected. Would not disconnect under high load. Connected it to my SUV, turned key to on position, and turned everything else on I could think of- current flow was 50A (my Powermax is rated at 100A). Left it like this for over 30 minutes and the Powermax did really good, very little heat generated.
