I’ve been getting into a chess kick lately and wanted something portable to bring somewhere. I decided to grab this set and bring it into work. Is it the best quality ever? No, but it gets the job done and you wouldn’t care at all. It’s surprising the amount of coworkers I have that actually played chess. It’s fun to just take a break from work to play. We even set up a leaderboard in the break room. Everything fits nicely in the case and packaged separately by ziplocks. I don’t use the checkers but it’s there. Overall, it’s a great value.

Excellent quality. The board is great. Bag is perfect. Chess pieces are a little cheap so you may want to upgrade them or fill them and replace the felt.

The board is a perfectly fine mousepad board, and the bag is sturdily built and roomy enough to add in a clock. The large staunton-style pieces are unweighted plastic, but they don't feel cheap, just basic. Extra queens and a bonus set of checkers are unexpected for the price.

I purchased this as a gift and it was perfect! The quality is excellent, and everything feels well made and durable. It made a great impression and was very well received. You won’t be disappointed with this set.

Wonderful the piece are big enough my kids can handle them with out trouble and if the get dropped easy to find love the bag we take it with us on car rides and appointments and the kids play in the floor of our van while Sittin in the parking lot and they love it
