Which is correct? The text description on the page says 150m and the product label says 160m.

Loctite is a reputable company. I imagine that, since it is labeled on the product as 160m, that it is 160m... Who in their right mind would ever actually unravel the cord and then measure it, I wouldn't want to know. But, the practical answer for most homeowners is "More Than Enuff". It will last most people for several years. Mostly just use it on Brass fittings, which can be finicky. Teflon tape is all that I've ever needed for PVC pipe threads. My own experience is that It's great stuff, just put it on correctly (wrap it in the direction against the threads-not with the threads-starting at the end of the pipe, don't overdo it) and it will work every time.

Since you can back off the fitting and not leak can you take a fitting completely off and back on without leaks?

You definitely can, but you'll be reapplying the new tape at this point
