Zipper Crib Mattress Protector - Fully Encased & Waterproof Cover

Really nice cover - excellent fit, finish, quilting & stitching. It didnt have that starchy/sizing odor that you can get with new textiles, either. The zipper surprised me (pleasantly so) because the zipper is not just on the short end (like a pillow case) but actually goes around the corners & down the long sides. It makes it MUCH easier to fit to the mattress - it's not like you have to squeeze, fluff, pull the mattress into the case (like a pillow case). I actually am using this for a non-standard application: I have a beloved 13+ year old beagle who loves her new bed (medium Sealy Posturpedic orthopedic with bolsters) but has had a persistent cough since it arrived. I'm using the cover to completely wrap the bed so that there's an allergen barrier between her & her bed, in the hopes of alleviating her cough. We shall see! Upon using this cover, I'm also finding that it's a really good idea beyond this initial application. It's a confortable, breathable, waterproof barrier between a dog bed (of some cost such as the Sealey, not easily washable without compromising it's good points) and a sometimes muddy-pawed 'leaky lady beagle.' It's washable, protects the bed, & I can unzip, wash, dry, & restore it fairly quickly. Because it's an encasement cover, she can't paw & rumple it off the bed when she nests (I do add additional 'rumple-able' bedding atop the cover to protect the cover & to allow her to enjoy her bedding rituals.) I'd recommend it as a dog bed cover, too! (Folks with greyhounds/larger dogs often actually use old/used/'soiled beyond' crib mattresses for dogs- what isn't good enough for baby is fine for the dog & this would work well for that application, too.) I would buy this again, & may buy more for the other beds, too!

This crib mattress cover envelopes the entirety of the mattress rather than having elastic around the bottom. The zipper has a protected casing and begins on one short side, covers on the long side, and ends about one-third of the way on the other short side which means it is easy to put on and off the mattress. Since it covers the whole mattress it will be more protective and a bit more work than the ones with just elastic around the edges. The top is soft and the waterproof liner is several layers thick and absorbent. It cleans well in the washing machine The one drawback is that I do not put it in the dryer since I do not wish to even think of harming or melting the waterproof liner. Instead, I hang it in my laundry room and it is dry by the next day. For a waterproof mattress pad, this one is a winner.

I bought this mattress protector for daughter. We are working on potty training, and this product has saved her mattress numerous times. Fits very snug, however zipper extends far around. This helps make putting it on easier. Washes well, and has held up to mutiple washes with no evident wear. The only thing I would improve on is, even though it fully encases the mattress, only one side is padded. The other is a thinner material. (Side that is on bottom). I still give this product 5 stars in spite of this one thing because it does what it's intended to do. It's saved my daughter's expensive mattress.

I love this mattress protector. I originally bought it because the crib mattress I have developed a tear in the plastic and I didnt want to have to replace it when my daughter was about to grow out of her toddler bed. Fast forward a few years and now my son is using the same mattress with the same mattress protector on it. It's been washed many many times and still looks perfect. It stops all liquids from getting to the mattress. My son regularly soaks through his diapers due to a medical condition and none of it ever gets to the mattress itself. It doesn't have much of a crinkle noise to it. It's very quiet and actually rather thick and padded on the top side. There have been a few times that my son has climbed into his bed and fallen asleep directly on this cover because it feels like a normal bed sheet. This protector completely encloses the mattress with a zipper closure. It's worth the money for it.

We've e been looking for an allergy crib mattress cover (complete encasement) and waterproof pad all-in-one for some time in the traditional big box stores. Unable to find one, we had used a mattress pad without the cover. (Our other option would have been to have a waterproof cover (encasement) without a mattress pad or placing the pad on top, therefore defeating the purpose of the allergy cover.) We were THRILLED when we found this allergy cover (encasement) AND waterproof pad all-in-one! It's quiet and does not have the crinkle noises of other some covers (encasements) and pads, and it's soft. It fits our crib mattress perfectly and seems to be helping our Little with allergies. My only complaint is that it did not come with any washing instructions. This may sound silly, but for other brand allergy mattress covers (encasements), it sometimes matters on the water temperature, cycle and/or dryer setting or air dry so that the allergy barrier is preserved. I have emailed the seller on Amazon and will update when I receive their response. :) These are my honest opinions, but in the fairness of disclosure, I after purchasing this mattress cover, if I completed an honest review, I was eligible for a coupon towards a free crib mattress cover. UPDATE: They wrote back the same day and said we can wash it in hot water, just do not use bleach. Awesome customer service too!

Very happy with this product. Fits snuggly around regular size crib mattress and works exactly as it should.

It was easy to install, soft and of good quality

I washed it before the first use. When I took it out of the washing machine, its side was ripped. I don't recommend this product.. no durability what so ever. :/
