Learning Resources Bucket Balance, 1g Sensitivity, Mass Measurement, Includes Buckets, Ages 3+

This is a nice beginner balance. It serves well for introducing a balance. Gram stackers can be bought separately but not immediately needed (depends on your lesson needs). Use with solids and liquids. It can be easily balanced and the kids wanted to explore this new math tool right away. After they wrote about Math Tools in their interactive notebooks they went to learn and play immediately. It's small and lightweight making it easy to take it on the go. It however, might break easily so some rules for use and a safe location should do. A good homeschooling option as well.

It's a scale and it does what it's suppose to do! We enjoyed using it to measure from liquids to sand or just other things you can weigh, my daughter started to even weigh her own toys including play food toys. It's nice to be able to play with something that gives kids the concepts of how big one thing can be still can weigh less than something so small. It was a great addtion to my daughter's play kitchen as well as for her science set play toys. It's a simple item to have but I got a really great buy from Amazon, Thanks!=)

Just what I was looking for in a balance for my homeschool. The buckets can be used with wet or dry materials. The quality is good as expected from a Learning Resources product. I would buy this balance again.

My littles aren't using it yet to measure weight, but they've grabbed the buckets off and accidentally dropped the scale a few times, and it still works properly.

This is a very nice scale to teach weight concepts to preschoolers. The baskets hold quite a bit - solid or liquid - and it's easy for small hands to use.

This balance is perfect for my preschoolers. If the cups are seated properly and you balance it using the built-in compensator clips on the arms before using it does just what it's supposed to do. My kids like comparing weights using matchbox cars, action figures, golf balls, letter blocks, marbles, fruit...lots of possibilities.

The cups are large enough to weigh and predict plenty of items. The children can take them on and off easily and find many things to predict what is heavy and not.

I love this balance beam. It’s great quality. We used it to measure and compare liquids and solid items. It’s a necessary teaching tool.

As a retired primary teacher and having grown up with using a cook's balance, I wanted this type for baking with my grandchildren. This is light and also well made. It's suitable for baking and also for finding toys that balance. The 'buckets' have small markings for measuring liquids which will be useful in due course

Good product that will get use through the years as child grows. Sturdy, and my 2.5 yo likes putting different items in the buckets. But she is a little young for it yet. I only give 3 stars for price, as though the learning resources items are sturdy and will last, I still think they are just a little overpriced for what they are.
