Yes it is the BEST seasoning ever!!! No MSG and is great on a number of foods.

How does this compare in flavor to mccormick grill mates montreal steak seasoning? both sound very tasty.

Montreal steak seasoning to me is sweet and its not my personal favorite for steak although I know others montreal its their go to. Johnny's however is my go to for popcorn and I use it on almost every meat and veggie item I cook.

Is this similar to Trader Joe’s 21 seasoning salute?

No…this is a seasoning salt. Some people compare it to Lawry’s but I personally find it much better.
