Mederma Kids Scar Gel, Goes on Purple and Rubs in Clear, Ages 2+, 0.70 Oz

I love Mederma! Works great!

It smells good and feels good but I can certainly say anything about it working as I haven’t been able to see results on one of my daughter’s old scratches on her face. I can certainly say that it does work well to help reduce scaring of any new scratches. I apply it on a new scratch of course after it has already scabbed. I apply it 3x a day, everyday until I see that it has faded away.

6 year old + Floor is lava = facial scarring and Mederma customer for life. The mederma goes on purple but dries clear. That’s fun for the kids but helps the parent know they applied the gel properly. It’s a small tube of gel but it lasts. It won’t fix permanent scarring but it has helped reduce the visibility and fine lines around the scarring.

We used this for about 2 months on a new scar and it did help somewhat with healing - the color of the scar blends in better with the surrounding skin and the scar was initially more raised and now is flatter. However, I have to agree with other reviewers: why, why, WHY make it dyed purple and grape scented?? There is no logical reason for either of these in a medicine that's applied topically. Are we trying to tempt toddlers to eat this stuff? Anyway, my toddler got hold of the tube one night, squeezed it all over himself, his sheets, a blanket. All dyed purple now.

My kid got some bruise on face so I bought it to give it a try. But I don't think it had much effect. The smell is very strong of sweetness and the color is very noticeable, so the kid is very resist to even have it on. Also notice my kid will some small rashes after using this product, not very sure if it is the cause, but I just stopped to using it.

Love this scar cream!! Used it on my 3 year olds brand new scar for about 6 weeks and the scar has completely gone away - very effective! I was diligent about putting it on her skin at least 2 times a day. Love that it goes on purple and dries clear - this makes it fun for the kids to “put on medicine.” The smell is also good… not a bad smell at all. Easy to use, not sticky at all, and worth every penny.

It’s been so helpful in making sure my daughter doesn’t have scar marks especially on her face. We just started using this but I’ve used in the past and have been happy with the results. My daughter says it smells good too! Will update after using for a while.

Compré este producto porque mi nena de dos años se quemó con el costado de la plancha en la parte interna de su brazo, aunque no fue grande, si dejó cicatriz. A mes y medio de uso he visto como ha ido desapareciendo la cicatriz, lo recomiendo ampliamente

Mederma Scar Gel for Kids is gentle helps fade scars over time with regular use. However, received it with a very short expiry date, which was disappointing.

El envase es muy pequeño, pero rinde demasiado, en la semana que llevo aplicándolo se ve una mejoría notoria. Si lo recomiendo. Espero buenos resultados al terminar el producto.
