ZINUS 5 Inch Youth Memory Foam Mattress/Kids’ Room & Bunk Bed Mattress, Narrow Twin

The comfort and quality of these mattresses has completely exceeded my expectations! These are excellent! We are using them as a replacement for our couch and they are working wonderfully. We were originally going to use foam crib mattresses but these ended up being thicker, cheaper, and deeper from wall to edge of couch than those were ever going to be. I'm highly satisfied. These mattresses provided us with a larger, more comfortable couch while also saving us some money. The quality is great. They arrived on time. Packaging was minimal. There's no weird smell. I didn't overheat while sleeping on them. They plumped up to the proper size and thickness. Nice balance between firmness and softness. We made a great choice. We're so satisfied that we purchased another mattress from Zinus which has also been excellent. I highly recommend this mattress. And if you're crafty like me, why not try it instead of a couch. It's easier to clean, move, and modify than any other couch you'll own. Also probably cheaper and more comfortable. Thanks Zinus! A++ (Sorry about the blurry photos. I bought A pair of La-Z-Boy couches at an extreme discount because the original customer Backed out at the last minute and they were customized. After a few days I understood why the customer backed out because these are the most uncomfortable couches I’ve ever had. They have the upgraded memory foam seat cushions but There’s large gaps in between each of the cushions. They drove me crazy. For years I’ve been trying different things like yoga mats, mattress toppers, Memory, latex, All things that helped improve the comfort. I finally bit the bullet and decided I was going to remove the seat cushions and buy something to replace it. When I took measurements, I realized I needed a slim or cot sized mattress to fit in the couch frame. Somehow I ended up finding and choosing this one. I was a little worried it wouldn’t fit lengthwise But hearing some of the reviews say that it ran small was actually a good thing for me. It came packaged With extreme care. The directions were a nice touch and made me smile. I took off the plastic and within 10 minutes I couldn’t wait anymore and put it right on my couch. To get the height right I did add bottom layer of yoga mat. Then a layer of foam (in the form of a 4 inch topper I bought on sale) and then this mattress. I then placed a twin sized cooling mattress topper and topped it all off with a fitted cooling sheet. Then I sat down to test it out. Within seconds I knew i finally did it. I was already more comfortable than I had ever been on the original sofa. It was firm like a seat cushion should be & I don’t feel like I was sliding off the end when my feet are on the floor. After I was satisfied it passed the sitting test I tried laying down on it. I ended up falling asleep and had the best sleep on a couch since I purchase those godforsaken couches. I normally wait to write reviews after I’ve used the product for more than a week. However with this mattress, I’m writing this review the day after I set it up. I am so pleased with this setup now. I would call this mattress firm. I was worried about the 5 inches not being enough but I didn’t see a thicker option so I figured I’d tinker with other layers I’d accumulated in the past. Turns out the 5” is more than sufficient and makes it lightweight so that one person can easily move it around. I didn’t smell anything off putting. This seems like a well made product, it inflated quickly, has a protective cover that I haven’t removed yet as per instructions. I am assuming they mean Do not remove the cover while your mattress is in the inflation process. Once it’s fully inflated you can unzip cover and put it in washing machine. I read the cover is resistant to moisture and there’s no crinkling sounds that bothered me. I’m an extremely hot natured person. I use a fan at all times and thermostat set to 69 degrees year-round. . I was worried this mattress would make me hot but that wasn’t an issue. That could be due to the mattress or due to the Cooling mattress cover and fitted sheet I used on top which is also meant to be cooling. TLDR : If you need to rehab a seat cushions on a full sized sofa, and the measurements work for your frame, this is an EXCELLENT option. Not only will sitting on your couch be comfortable, But sleeping on your couch will be wonderful as well. If anything changes I’ll be sure to update.

As this is my first foam mattress, I can't compare it to others. But, I love it. Here goes... I bought this for a twin size trundle bed for when my Grands come to visit for the night. I slept on it several times to try it out while waiting for my 12" foam mattress to arrive. For the money I was very impressed. It's only 5 inches thick but still very comfortable. I'm 5' 2" and weigh 135 lbs. I was worried I might 'sink' and feel the slats under it as some reviewers mentioned. But, that's not the case. At least not for now. It's hard to describe the softness/firmness as that's a matter of opinion. But, I would say it's a little of both. The top layer is soft and great for side sleepers and people with hip problems like myself. The next layer is somewhat firm to give just enough support. It's a great combination. As it's for a 'drawer' trundle bed, I can't comment about the 'side sagging' problem where you get in and out of bed as other reviews said. It decompressed to the full 5" in a couple hours but, we gave it 24 hours just to be sure. All in all it's a great mattress for a little money. Will update after it's had a little more use.
