They work very well
I am really happy I found these. My Thule topper had been Broken into and the locks are super expensive to fix and they aren't hard to break. I'm confident in these straps though I've tried to pry them off and they dont budge.Ilove these and am getting more. Great product

A great inexpensive alternative
I use locking straps to keep our Stand Up Paddleboards (SUP's) from walking away and to keep them nice and tight on my roof racks for travel. Previously I have used the major brand of these things, KanuLocks, and though I liked them, the plastic cover on the locks continually broke down, and though the company was good enough to send me new ones, after it happened too many times and then when I accidentally lost my key on a wilderness paddle trip and found out the hard way how easy it was to cut through them, I thought maybe I'd try something else. Enter these guys. Way less expensive, not as bulky, a superior lock with a real key, not some little child's suitcase key like the KanuLocks and 3 strands of metal wire instead of two - I'm really happy. Time will tell I suppose, but we already did our first trip with them, used them to lock our boards to a tree so we didn't have to haul them from the lake for the next day, couldn't believe the difference in feel. For way less money I feel I have a better set of straps. They are a little hard to figure out when you are in the woods and don't have Internet access, but as soon as I got the strap going through the lock in the right way (not brain science, I'm just a little challenged sometimes) it was smooth sailing. Recommend highly as an alternative to the more expensive ones you will find. Will they stop a determined or professional thief with bolt cutters, doubtful, but for keeping your gear safe from opportunists and locked down tight on your car while you dash into a store, hotel or restaurant, or in campsites, or safe while you head down to the beach or lake to check the surf or wind conditions, these are great!

Great straps with secure tightening and the ability to lock is great piece of mind!
Bought these straps for a surf trip to Baja and the locking mechanism gave me great piece of mind knowing it would take quite a lot of work to get my surfboards. The best part about them is how secure the straps make your boards to the roof of the car. The wideness of the straps also secure them better than other skinny straps while not putting as much pressure in one area of the board which could otherwise cause some pressure dings.

Reasonable Deterrence
For the cost, these are helpful in deterring someone from stealing your items. I wish the steel cables in the webbing were heavier.

DIFFICULT TO USE AND NOT DURABLE
Have had these since May 2022 and very lightly used. I am very disappointed. The latch mechanism inside the locking head is difficult to use. Threading the strap is quite difficult. I need to use pliers to pull the strap through the moving mechanism with the teeth that hold the strap. One of the straps is now non-funcitonal. It has locked and apparently something has jammed the mechanism because the buckle will no longer open even though I am certain the combination has been dialed in correctly. Also, one of the straps is wearig, and the metal fibers now poke through the cloth. I cut myself on one of the fibers.Overall, buy something else. Poor durability and a headache to use. Anyone with arthritis in their hands or similar disability will likely not be able to use these straps as the clamp inside the buckle that you have to squeeze in order to thread the strap, requires a great deal of pressure. If you cannot squeeze hard enough with one hand to fully open the space where you thread the strap, you cannot thread the strap and lock the buckle. The straps do prevent your belongings from being vulnerable to a crime of opportunity. But in my opinion, the hassle is simply not worth it. Get a cable-style bicycle lock.

Works as advertized
I really like this product. I wanted something lockable that was not going to scratch the ladder on the back of our truck camper, but still offered some security. This product is easy to use and with the internal steel, it will at least keep honest people honest which I think is about as much as one could hope for.In the future the manufacturer might consider offering shorter lengths as there are other places where I could use this product, but did not have a way to hide the excess length.

Hard to turn dials
Quality seemed ok but I found the combination lock very hard to use. It was way too difficult to turn the the dials. I am going to return them
