Just what I needed to highlight my pages without bleed through. Does not obscure the text when highlighter is passed over the words. Sorry to say the pastel set I purchased from same Mr Pen brand did not work well. This yellow highlighter set was just what I was looking for. Still searching for a colored version that works for me.

Love these highlighters. Regan thought they are gel the feel and act similar to the old timey wax pens used for marking can foods in the grocery stores years ago

Best Middle Ground Beween Ink Highliters and Colored Pencils
These are very good. They are essentially crayons, with a wax-like feel, that are vibrant and do not bleed. You will get some bleed-thru on bible pages considering how thin the paper is, and you might be better off using a vibrant, neon colored pencil for your bible highlighting, but a regular book will have no bleed. Readability is top notch, and other reviewers have posted pictures with comparisons so go check those if you need more info. Minor gripes are that the tip dulls, kind of like a crayon does as you use it more and more, and it can be harder to pinpoint your highlighting as it gets used and the tip flattens out. They also don't last all that long, so you'll go through them quickly if you're doing a lot of highlighting.

Gel highlighters are kind of wack, but they don’t bleed through pages AT ALL. but you get more of a final smudge look than a straight line or rectangle which might bother some people with OCD. But great value for this ginormous pack.
