Love these beans really tasty. It’s a shame they’ve gone up so much. £2.50 per jar first purchase now £3.50 per jar. Very expensive beans as my husband says.

This order arrived damaged. One of the jars broken and leaking contents but I have been advised that I cant claim a refund ! Why?

These have become a real favourite. They’re not just delicious — and that they really are — but versatile. I like to serve them as part of a salad, with vine tomatoes, cucumber and maybe some cubes of feta. They turn a light snack into a substantial meal. Or I enjoy them as a sort of cold version of beans on toast using them straight from the jar alongside some good rye and wheat bread and butter. Or I’ll add them to a soup, whether as an addition to mixed vegetable soup to add heartiness and extra flavour from the sauce or to add a different texture to a lentil soup. Or I’ll sometimes use them alongside other tinned beans, enough sometimes to create more a bean casserole than a soup, where their large size really stands out and their sauce adds another layer of flavour. There are no doubt all sorts of other ways to use them, too, but I admit to a secret weakness. I enjoy them just as they are, no extras needed. Just a plateful of these, and a spoon to eat up all the sauce.

Classically greek flavour. Really lovely quality butter beans. Great that they are in jars- healthier. Reasonably priced. Serves 1 as a main serving or two as part of a platter.

Genuine Greek taste Would not be out of place in a Taverna.

It's difficult to score this because it's a 5 for the product but zero for packaging. We ordered one jar to try them and they were excellent so we ordered 5 more for the store cupboard. On arrival 3 had leaked, fortunately into the individual plastic packaging, another was not properly sealed as the top clicked. So we were left with one which tasted lovely. Amazon customer services spot on as always gave us an immediate refund.
