Its a good idea but the viewfinder is weak and the image dim... maybe its me and I just need to get the lighting right

Have tried many different positions with/without filters, different subject distances, different light conditions, different heights, have watched accompanying videos plus others. Light reflections interfere with subject being viewed, subject not in good enough focus and most telling of all, the end of pencil isn't clear enough so picking up on previous lines very difficult. Disappointing and far too expensive for quality that it produces.

It changes your perception of drawing. It won't make you into an accomplished artist because you will need to be able to draw to get the most out of this. Having said that it aids drawing correctly in terms of the lay out of space. You really need to fight to get things how you want them but solving the problems has its own reward.

Easy to use.

First the item in the box was all loose. The instruction leaflet did mpt explain what some items were for. According to the to web pictures, I am certain an item was missing. I never got a picture to copy only my face in the mirror. And worst of all you pay to return and get £20 back. I am certain Claude Monet never used one despite the stupid clain

Total waste of money. Couldn't get it to work at all and some small pieces missing.

Impossible to use - I have the less expensive one - particularly if you wear glasses. I should have read the reviews. Given the expense of returning it I will keep it as a reminder not to be sucked in by internet razzmatazz, however slick and curiosity arousing. Donating it to a school - it’s at least of art historic interest.

Excellent product; I use it all the time. Easy to put together, easy to store, I've accidentally dropped the glass several times and have had no issues, so it has been sturdy. The only drawback I can see is that you need perfect lighting conditions to obtain a good, traceable outline. I've tried using in open sunlight, a lighted studio, but the best results I've had is to use a hand-held floodlight so I can obtain the perfect tracing image. I use the floodlight and adjust the lighting as I trace. So far, after tracing over 50 images, I've not had to use any of the filters. I've traced directly onto paper and cotton painting canvas. With the aid of a handheld floodlight, I've been able to use this device in any lighting, dark or bright. I wish the flexible cable was offered in a longer length. Excellent product for the price. I would purchase it again and recommend to someone. Once you get the hang of it, it's a great tool.
