Works exactly as described
I use these splitters to streamline the wiring behind my sounddesk. I power two sets of studio monitors from the same run of power cables. Solid connections, thick wires but still flexible. Perfect.

Part is built well. Unfortunately it's too short to be practical.
The build quality is good. Unfortunately the leads are too short. If they offered a 24 I'm version instead of the 8 inch version that would be great.

Great for powering 2 rack mount units with one power cord. Makes for a neat installation.

Just a bit too short for dual side-by-side monitors
The cable quality seems fairly good, and was in line with what I expected, but I have to only give it three stars because it is just a bit too short to be practical for as many uses. The 12 inch measurement includes the length of the connectors (actually just over 13" measured that way) The overall length of the cable itself, without measuring the connectors is 8 inches for each side. By the time you angle the connectors, you can realistically get up to about 12" of distance between your two IEC sockets, which is just not long enough for some practical uses. In my case, I wanted to power two side-by-side monitors to help with cable management, but the IEC sockets are about 22 inches from each other. I hope this helps others with the same idea to make an informed decision.
