Thomastik Infeld Violin Saiten für Violine Dominant Pro

As expected - a nice full set of violin strings. Hard to say if they're worth the extra money over ordinary dominant strings, but they work fine.

Love these strings. Was using a cheaper brand before but there's such a difference in tone quality. Have an old classic violin and they give it a much richer tone. Glad I made the change.

Cannot really comment on the sound as A string has unwound across the bridge after stretching and retuning it. The A string sounded weak when first fitted compared to the G & D, and then unwound. Had to buy another from a shop, never went through the complaint procedure as needed another string quickly, this is the problem online as opposed to buying from a shop, so will not be making the same mistake twice.

This was my first set of Dominant Pros ever and I really love them so far. The playability is excellent: super responsive and with great dynamic range. On my violin they sound clear and bell-like but still have pleasing overtones and a good warmth on the G and D strings (especially if you get the set that has a silver-wound D). With many good string sets that were $75 a set a decade ago well over $120 per set nowadays, I think these represent a great compromise and I will definitely purchase these again.
