A solution to bulky holsters; The best way to conceal carry!
The Smith & Wesson Bodyguard has quickly become my favorite carry gun. It is compact, and still has a reasonable caliber that Iโm comfortable carrying for my protection. However, no matter how small your firearm is, a bulky holster makes carrying it a nuisance, especially if youโre a smaller guy like myself. With this clip, you no longer have to worry about bulky holsters getting in the way, or potentially exposing your firearm. I know when I wear t-shirts in the summer, my firearm is usually exposed. Not being from a southern state, some people might be alarmed by this, which is why I chose to purchase this clip. With that being said, I prefer to carry my firearm at a 6 oโclock position, and with this clip it is barely noticeable. Not the same case with a holster! Installing this clip was easy enough. All of the tools you will need are included, with the exception of a small hammer or mallet that youโll need to pop out the pin as shown in the instructions. One IMPORTANT thing I should point out is when you pop out the pin, the tool that you use to do this with is REPLACING the pin that comes in the bodyguard. The inside is threaded, which will hold the screw to attach your clip to your gun. Make sure you hammer it in from the LEFT hand side (the side that has the safety). I feel like mentioning this is important because the instructions say โtap out pin from the right sideโ which can be confusing. Iโm not sure if this is a typo or not, but it is poorly worded in my opinion. Not the end of the world though. Overall, this is a really cool product. Holsters are good for some people, but if youโre on the smaller side like me, or find regular holsters bulky, I think youโll definitely enjoy this clip! I did have a bit of trouble installing this clip (took about 15 minutes), so if you have any questions, let me know, and I'll do my best to answer in a timely manner.

Great addition to your Bodyguard 380
This is a great product. It fits perfect and the gun looks like it came from the factory with it installed. The directions could be better, but if you are mechanical it shouldn't be an issue. If you don't have much mechanical experience it would be best to have your local gun shop install it for you. The package comes with the clip, the replacement pin the clip attatches to, two screws, a hex key, and a paper backing with the directions printed on it. The directions state to use a punch and mallet to remove the original pin from the rear of the gun, but doesn't say what size you need. I found that a 1/8" punch worked beautifully. I spun the end of the punch against a piece of fine sandpaper to break the edge and give it a little taper. A small ball peen hammer or light mallet is all that's needed to push out the original pin. Push it out from the right side of the gun, then place the threaded end of the replacement pin against the taper you sanded in the punch and press it back through the pin hole from the left side. Do not force it through! There is plenty of room for it if everything is lined up properly. I found that getting the replacement pin through the right side of the gun required some downward pressure on the slide to line everything up. Once the pin is installed you are ready to install the clip and the screw holding it down. Apply a dab of blue medium strength Locktite to the threads of the screw before you install the clip. Don't use anything stronger than medium strength or you will never get the screw out again. On my clip, I noticed that the hole was off just a little bit when placed flat against the right side of the gun. Don't try to force the screw into the pin if you encounter this. It's not worth cross-threading it and ruining both the screw and new pin. Instead, move the clip away from the side of the gun until you can line up the screw with the hole in the pin. . Install the screw using the supplied hex key. As you thread the screw into the pin it will pull the clip into place. Once the screw is tight you are done! Don't try to crank down or over tighten the screw, it's small and the hex key used to install it is very small. You just need it tight enough that it doesn't move around, the Locktite is there to keep it from coming apart. The clip works great and holds the gun low. If you carry it inside the waist band with a tee-shirt over it you can't tell it's there at all. In a pocket you can see the back of the slide and grip, but it sits comfortably and feels secure. It also fits in most soft holsters with the clip attached, if you needed to use one.

CCW made easy even while running.
This clip has made CCW comfortable and extremely concealable. I have the S&W Body Guard .380. I can now carry every day without worry of being "outed". I prefer to carry inside my waistband in the small of my back so only the clip is visible if my shirt pulls up. I wear a black belt which helps conceal the clip if my shirt does ride up. I drive 50-60K a year for work and it never bothers me while driving. I am a fairly small person and wear athletic type polo shirts as well as t shirts most of the time. Only in a very bent over or reaching position does my shirt sometimes come up above my waist band. While standing it is very easy to get to the gun, while sitting it is a little bit more difficult but doable. I'm also a runner and have been carrying on some of my runs, so far 5 miles is the most I've gone with it. I wear trail running/hiking shorts that have a small belt only on the front 6 inches or so. The gun stays perfectly positioned and doesn't chafe, inside waist band in the small of my back, we'll see how it works when I get up around 15-20 miles. I can't imagine using any type of holster. The Bodyguard and this clip have made CCW possible.

great addition
this little pocket clip is outstanding. fits the Ruger LCP perfectly with no problems. easy to install / attach. enables you to carry the LCP in the back pocket of jeans almost invisibly and still have easy access. however, it will not fit the Ruger .380 MAX. the MAX does not have the pin needed for installation.

Excellent way to conceal carry!
After purchasing this clip for my LC9 it was a no brainer to install it on my LCP 380 I searched all over for a comfortable holster that would allow me to conceal carry. I tried the Versacary and was really impressed however after you pull your weapon you have to struggle to get the weapon back concealed. This Techna Clip is the answer for anyone looking for the lightest, easiest carry possible in my opinion. The clip keeps the weapon firmly in place. I am very comfortable carrying in the front as well as lower back, also in the pocket. The clip doesn't get in the way of my grip with either the LC9 or the LCP 380- the install was extremely easy, and I must note that I am not mechanically inclined. The clip came with the necessary hex key for the indstall, I want to say it took me 5 minutes only because I had to use my spyderco as a hammer to tap out the pin in my gun. i probably could have done it in 2 minutes had I just used a hammer or wrench as my tap. You just can't go wrong with this clip, and for the money it is an excellent buy.

Love it...best value holster alternative
I love my techna clip. Like another reviewer, I also thought it didn't fit my LCP...but saw the other review saying "follow the instructions" and I did. Basically, in the process of screwing the clip to the gun, the clip itself bends a bit and fits snugly in place, despite the apparent mis-alignment at first. Anyway, after buying an alien gear holster and being annoyed that 1) it added 50% of the weight of a fully loaded lcp to the gun, and 2) it added about triple the bulk of the gun, and 3) it slid around in the smooth plastic holster and didn't feel secure, I realized I needed something more compact -- more in line with the philosophy of the lcp. The techna clip is exactly that. Minimal, lightweight, easy to carry and adjust for either a completely concealed iwb style, or angled so the grip/magazine is easier to grab. Not too much else to say about it. I love this thing. I did also have a hogue grip i had to cut with a pocket knife a bit so they'd fit together (the part that attaches to the same pin the techna clip clip attaches to)...I just cut that whole back part off of the grip with a pockt knife. They both now fit snugly. Yey! Tried to attach a photo but my phone and computer don't like eachother right now. :P UPDATE: May 10, 2018 -- I've carried with this techna clip regularly for the past couple of years. Never a hitch. Still very happy with this purchase. I'm convinced that this is the absolute best holster option for my LCP. I've never been injured by it, like another reviewer, but I probably don't go to the range as much as he did. Still love this thing.
