Does it let you charge whilst being on the stand?

If you turn the phone to the side (i.e. landscape view) then the charging port will be out to the side. So, yes it can allow for charging during use. If using the phone in normal portrait style then it really depends on the length of the end of your charging cable; however, even when one of my cable ends is too long then pulling the phone and stand towards the end of the table gives it enough room to bring the cable up from the outside edge of my table.

Does it take the phone with the cover on or does the cover need to be taken off
