Would having 2 of these in a larger 700 sq ft. Be more effective than a larger model rated for that size?

I've been doing extensive research online for an air purifier. I've heard, more than once, that any unit with 250 cfm's is adequate for a 300 sq ft space (assuming it has true HEPA filters). Any larger of a space, you should get multiple units vs. 1 unit with greater cfm's. Theoretically, you could have 500 cfm's out of 2 inexpensive units vs. paying double or triple for 1 high cfm unit that still may not be adequate.

I thought all levoit air purifiers were ozone free, did not generate ions but after closer look it looks like this model has plasma function -/+ ions?

Levoit also sells the more expensive PlasmaPro 400S, which has the ionization function. One can turn that function on or off. Too bad they named them both 400S. It will confuse folks. From what I've read, ionization will help neutralize particles, but also produces ozone, which can cause health issues related to lungs/breathing. The model sold on Amazon is the VeSync Core 400S.
