Is device compatbile with ios/ipad?

I'm not sure why the vendor wrote this is not compatible with iOS. Right now, I am playing my new Oxygen Pro 61 with Garage Band on my iPhone X running iOS 15.0.2 through a cheap 3rd party camera adapter I bought on Amazon. Most of the key mappings seem to work, although there are some that need tweaking. I'm not crazy about the iOS Garage Band sample sound quality, but that's not M-Audio's fault. Oxygen + iPhone is a great solution if you want something ultra-portable to mess around with.

What port does it use?

It uses a USB port. All you do is plug it in to your computer, then set it up in whatever DAW you use. YouTube has millions of videos to show you how to hook it up to any DAW. You can also read the manual. It is very important to always read the manuals so you have an great understanding of what you are doing.

Is it possible to map it to GarageBand?

Yes you will be able to map it to garageband and save your own preset for your DAW.
