Spiral Solar Powered Desk Chime, Verdigris

We have had a solar tabletop for 15 yrs and it still works great. Our friends bought a new house and have always commented as to how much they loved the sound of the chimes. We purchased this one as a gift. They will think of us each time theirs chimes. A great housewarming gift. They were so pleased.

Love to hear the chime go off throughout the day

I ordered two different styles of this chime during the first week of January of this year. The other one died yesterday...October 25...and this one died about two months ago. They both broke at the little hook that turns the inner ring that sounds the chimes....it just stopped turning when triggered by the solar cell. No way to fix that. Both of them were in rooms that had their LED lights on infrequently during the day....they were not triggered excessively. They are obviously not made to last past a few months and they're way too expensive for such a short lifetime. I do not recommend buying one of these.

Every once in a while, depending on the amount of light received, this unit will activate and I'll hear delicate tones. It's a sound that calms and refreshes. Is it necessary to own? No. Does it please me? Yes. Without a doubt.

It is great for indoors where you do not have any wind, so conventional wind chimes will not work. It need light to activate the solar strip. In the direct sunlight chimes galore.

The only drawback is hanging the chimes on supposedly three hooks when I could only find two. And the design is poor because its very difficult to hang the chimes. The little hooks are hidden under a panel and very hard to catch the fishing line onto the hooks. I now have mine taped. I should have sent it back, but I love the chime noise it makes.

The medium length pipe like piece did not have the monofilament attached to it and so I can’t hang it on the chime cover. I am so upset. The chime cannot ring pretty. It needs the third pipe.
