description says sticks to boat gunwale. Packaging flyer says don't put in direct sunlight. Anybody used this on gunwale for 3 years plus?

This is by far the best scale I have bought. Been in the sun for three + years. Still clear and bright.

It is a decal but I guess you could fold it. We attached it to a small pvc pipe and store it on the side of our boat.
