Men's Martial Art Kung Fu Tai Chi Rubber Sole Canvas Shoes

Exactly as described. Came in excellent condition. Sizing was right. 12 US men's = 48 Chinese Will order again.

These are the classic kung fu slippers I was buying thirty years ago. Light and comfortable, with enough sole to protect your feet from rocks and sticks if you practice outside. They do run a little small, you should order a size larger. I did, and the fit was good.

1. The Smell: I was very concerned after reading many reviews that this would be a deal killer. When they arrived, and I took them out of their plastic bag, they definitely had a strong, rubber smell. I left them outdoors in a covered area for a couple of days, and the smell mostly went away. After a couple of days of use at home the smell was pretty much gone. Maybe some people have very sensitive noses and my wife is one of those people and she said it was no longer a problem. 2. Fit: I found them to be true to size. I usually wear a 10 or a 10 1/2 and the size 10 fit me well. I experimented with a few different foot beds that I had sitting around from various sneakers and performance footwear, and found that this addition makes them more comfortable and fit better. I also have some Superfeet over the counter orthotics and they really made these tai chi shoes much more comfortable, and supportive. 3. Function: I purchased these primarily to work as slippers for when I travel. I wanted something with a very thin profile that would take up very little room inside of a suitcase that would work well as a slipper that could also be worn outside if needed. These Tai Chi shoes, work great for that purpose, and are a great value! 4. 4 Stars: I took away one star because of the initial problem with smell, but it does go away, so I definitely would recommend them and depending on how well they hold up, will buy another pair when the time comes. And they look pretty nice👍

Wore them for years until they fell apart. The day they did changed me.

Display picture does not match the shoe sold. The design has changed. The current shoes run one size small . In the picture the new shoe is at top and the old style is at bottom of picture. The sole of the shoe now wraps up and around the top, this reduces the foot space at both the front and back of the shoe. I received a metric size #47 which should have equaled the American size 13 ordered.

*sigh* Just when I thought I had found them again... Loved loved loved kung fu shoes as we called them, when I was growing up. Was so happy to find what looked like them here on Amazon earlier this year. Bought a pair in July '22, they arrived and they were exactly what I was looking for and what I remembered. 🖤 Knew I would need to buy more pairs but I wanted to see how long they lasted initially to make sure it was worth getting a bunch to have on hand. Fast forward to this week, November '22 when the big toe finally peaked its way through the front of the shoe, as they usually do/did in the past. Basically 5 months of heavy wear (almost daily outside wear) for $15, I'm okay with because I really like the shoe for my everyday throw ons. Guess I should've just ordered a bunch back in July, because as I received the 2 pair I just bought to replace them, they are not the same shoe. 😥 Pretty much everything except the color and the general shape is now different, including the fit as you can see in my photos. The newer version is not necessarily bad, (I generally love a slip on shoe in most capacities) it's just not the same as what they sold me the first time. I will exchange the newer ones I got for a smaller size as they run bigger than the original and see how they work out. I am a womens 9.5, the 7.5 in the original worked perfect. But just know these are not now the same shoe that is pictured in the listing. It is a knockoff 'updated' version of the old school Kung Fu slippers that we all knew and loved. Very comfortable and great for wearing around the house, kung fu, or tai chi.

I purchased the cloth sole version. The sole consists of multiple layers of stiff fabric sewn together with a pillowy fabric insole. (I had purchased a pair 4 years ago from a different vendor at a higher price…these appear to be the exact same manufacturer) and it took a long time to wear through the stitching on the bottom of the shoe. ( I regularly wore these outdoors and on sidewalks which is not the intended use and they held up very well). The cloth/light canvas upper is comfortable and there is an elastic portion to aid in putting the shoe on and taking it off and for comfort while wearing. Seems like quality construction throughout. I wear size 13 and ordered size 13 and they shipped size 46 metric/European and they fit perfectly. I wanted a comfortable inexpensive slipper/moccasin type shoe to wear around the house and yard and this fits the bill perfectly. (I might try the rubber sole version next time as it might be more practical on a dewy morning in the grass….just didn’t want the rubber to be too thick and thereby take away from the ability to feel the ground like a moccasin). All in all, I highly recommend this shoe.

These fit perfect and are exactly what I was hoping they would be e.g original karate shoe. Also price point was good and a quick delivery.
