High quality product for reasonable price and easy to set up
Relatively easy to set up. Only got a little confused when it asks you to connect to Home Hub, which I didn’t have. NOTE Home Hub also refers to your Chime door bell, took me a while to figure that one out as to the reason I wasn’t getting video. (Five stars to customer service for their help too btw, although I figured it out myself in the end they were very pleasant and professional). Love that it also has a Face Capture. When someone is walking past and too quick or hooded to see, the Capture feature gives a clear snapshot of their face. Highly recommend.

Eufy video doorbell . Battery version
I would say it's better than ring because no subscription fees. More features. Like making your own messages. Pictures and video quality is very good too. I just wish battery power only version had longer lasting battery and power indicator was in % instead of bars..5stars still

Good doorbell, battery life could be better
Overall, I really like this video doorbell. The video is quite clear, it was easy enough to set up and connectivity is fine. It is also small and just went next to our front door on the frame. I like especially that videos are just saved locally, no need for any subscription. I do think the battery life could be better. It consistently needs charging, which can take half a day. It is my only complaint though, and I think the lack of subscription makes up for it. I would recommend this video doorbell.

First it broke - then they tell me it's not compatible with my Android 14 phone
Bought this April 23. Worked fine for a bout a year, but then the warranty ran out. It stopped working if visitors/delivery people didn't press the bell push very firmly and hold it in till they hear it ring outside. If they just did a normal press nothing happened. They didn't hear it. We didn't hear it on the chime. Our phones didn't react to the bell push so didn't ring either. The two way talk only worked once about a month ago - and neither of us could clearly hear what the other person was saying - but somehow we managed with a bit of shouting So everyone thought we were out - when we were definitely in. After several emails back and forth to Anker, we weren't getting anywhere with any of their suggested fixes, but then one of the proposals stopped everything. The next proposal got the bell push working, but again only with a long heavy push, but the chime and our phones didn't ring any more. It was then suggested removing the bell push and chime from the app and re attaching them. Now nothing works. And you can't add the chime to the app - keeps failing. You can't add the bell push till the chime is added. Then noticed instead of trying to connect via wi-fi - even when only 2 inches from the top BT hub, it was trying to connect via bluetooth - and that was what failed every time. Wrote to Anker support again and they replied - "We are aware of some connectivity issues that may arise with certain Android versions, including Android 14. Our development team is actively working on a solution, and we appreciate your patience during this time. While we do not have a specific timeline for the resolution, we are committed to keeping our customers informed." There's nothing on any site selling this to tell you it's not compatible with Android 14. They offered me 20% off a new one from their site at the full RRP. Why would I do that - A. it's incompatible, and B. You can buy it on several sites at far better than 20% off Been trying to avoid Ring as it needs a subscription. So may try the XTU or similar

Excellent Choice for a Video Doorbell
I have been on the lookout for a good quality video doorbell for a while now. My next door neighbour has a Ring doorbell and I must say it is excellent. The video quality is very good and the ability to review events is easy and clear. What put me off from buying that product was the subscription model. I am fed up wit products that require ongoing payments when there should be excellent options to just buy the product and use it without further payments. My research brought me to the Eufy range of products and I must say; so far the product has been exactly what I was looking for. Firstly, the doorbell itself is nice looking and feels substantial. The mounting brackets (there is a flat bracket and an angle bracket that you can place onto the first bracket to allow mounting in a wider range of places) are adequate and fixings are included with the bell too. There is also a template sticker to allow easy marking of hole location, so for those people that are happy to install themselves; it is straightforward. I would say that the process of set-up was relatively straightforward, but strongly recommend reading instructions as there is scope for problems if not fully prepared. I found that the bell chime (which contains the included sd card for local storage) was easy to set up, but did require a re-format of the sd card after the first hour, although it has been good ever since (approximately a week). The doorbell itself was nice and easy to set-up too. Both items require the installation of the Eufy Security app but I did not find any real issues. The app is available on both Android and iPhone. The doorbell did come with an amount of charge, this enables set-up straight away, but does require charging to full capacity. The Eufy app shows battery level (mine is still at 99% after a week), as well as allowing access to saved events, live feed and settings etc. You can set the detection zone, which is surprisingly good and the image quality has been excellent so far. Reviewing events is easy, quick and clear when at home on the same network (although I do have very good home broadband), but does take a while when out and about on 5G. It's not problematic but there is a difference. The speed of notification when at home or away has been really good so far and the ability to talk to whoever is at the door works fine, with minimal lag. Video quality, as I have already mentioned; is excellent. Both the day and night recording is clear and easy to view. The night video is black and white, although the field of view from my bell is well illuminated, so I have it on day setting all the time and so it is in colour and very clear 24hrs a day. The is a web-portal and the app can generate a time-sensitive code to allow access to the device. I found that the view of live feed was great, but it appears that to access my stored events was not possible without a subscription to a cloud based storage (which defeats the object of the locally stored videos in my opinion). It isn't a deal breaker to me, but may be to some people. Overall, I am happy so far. The app notifies me instantly (with a little lag obviously) when there is either a detection or someone actually rings the bell. I can review any event later via the app and can save/download the videos. Having seen the quality of the Ring doorbell; I would say the video and sound recording is as high quality on the Eufy, but without the ongoing subscription costs. The included sd card is apparently good for several months of recordings before it starts to overwrite (we shall see). Based on my experience with it so far; I would recommend it.

Impressed
After doing a lot of research into what video doorbell to plump for, I settled on this eufy for the wireless, long battery life and the fact its made by anker, which are a quality brand. Its been up 3 days now and I'm impressed, the picture quality is fantastic as is the sound, notifications are pretty much instant and the app is easy to use. Took a little bit of tweaking over the 3 days to set the motion detection properly, everything was setting it off but now I have set a detection zone only my property is covered. It still sometimes misses things, for example I will walk past and it will pick me up straight away, but I park my car on the drive and it won't even notice this huge metal tub on wheels pull up to it! This is only occasional, most of the time it catches everything. The price was what sold it though. Bear enough £100. Cant beat that. UPDATE ON BATTERY. I bought this on March 1st 2022. It is now 26th April and the battery is almost flat so it needs a recharge. So it hasn't lasted 2 months. But I can live with this, it's far less hassle for me to charge it than to wire it in to the mains (which is possible with this doorbell) battery life is also dependant on how many things trigger the camera and how often you view it live etc. Overall after nearly 2 months I'm very happy indeed with this doorbell. It's exceeded my expectations.

Good alternative to Ring or other Subcription doorbells
This is perfect if, like me, you don't want to pay a monthly cost to a cloud option, like Ring or Nest. I was on Nest before I decided to swap over to Eufy, and love that I can have a massive SD card, and all the footage for months at a time is saved. You can hardwire this to your existing doorbell as well, meaning I never have to take it off to re-charge, it was an easy transition and quick to install. If you wait for it on sale, usually around £80/90, it's a great value for what you get. The build quality is great, and the picture quality is also good, better than Ring, but not as good as Nest. But when comparing to the price of competitors Pros: Crystal Clear 2K Resolution: The S210 boasts an impressive 2K resolution, providing exceptionally clear and detailed video footage. This level of clarity ensures that users can easily identify faces, packages, and other crucial details. Wide Field of View: With a 160-degree horizontal field of view, the doorbell covers a large area, minimizing blind spots and providing comprehensive surveillance of the surroundings. Wireless Convenience: The wireless design eliminates the need for complex wiring, making installation a hassle-free process. This also allows for flexible placement options, ensuring optimal coverage and accessibility. Intelligent Human Detection: The advanced AI technology accurately distinguishes between humans and other objects, significantly reducing false alerts. This ensures that users are only notified about relevant events, enhancing overall security. Two-Way Audio Communication: The built-in microphone and speaker enable clear and responsive communication with visitors, delivery personnel, or potential intruders through the eufy Security app. Local Storage and Data Encryption: The S210 allows for local storage via an SD card (not included), providing an additional layer of privacy and security. Furthermore, all data is encrypted, safeguarding it from unauthorized access. Cons: Requires a Strong Wi-Fi Connection: To maximize performance, a stable and robust Wi-Fi connection is crucial. Users with weak or unreliable Wi-Fi signals may experience intermittent connectivity issues. No Pre-recorded Messages: Unlike some competitors, the S210 does not offer the option to play pre-recorded messages. This feature could be valuable for automated responses to visitors. No Homekit or Google Home support: While it says that it supports Google Home, it does not, it is very basic in its support, but works best with Alexa. It does not have any Homekit support at all, and I am currently having to us Homebridge to get this working properly with my personal smart system. While it has some glaring issues, such as Smart Home support, or trouble with 2 way communication. For a device at this price point and the features you get for free out of the box, it is personally the best doorbell you can currently buy without being locked into any subscription or losing features.

Features dont quite work as they should, but just about functional after a few tweeks.
I have has this doorbell for about 6 months now, and had high expectations having read reviews and wanting to replace my expensive to maintain ring doorbell. This doorbell unfortunetly is not as good as my previous ring 2 doorbell. The fish eye lens is not able to cover the whole width of my 6m × 6m garden. Therefore, it doesnt seem to have time for the human detection to work when someone approaches. I have had to revert to motion detection. Even here the Camera had issues as it initially detected cars passing by despite them being outside of detection zones. I fixed this by decreasing the size of these zones further. There is also quite a lag from phones to the doorbell, so impossible to talk to anybody as they have left by the time I connect. None of these where issues with Ring. Other than that the door bell operates Ok. Pucture is very clear, although delayed, i have no issues retrieving recordings and the battery life of the door bell seems OK. I probably wouldnt buy this doorbell again, however I also dont want to be ripped off paying for a doorbell that works as you would expect. Hoping for better options when it comes to the time I have to replace this doorbell. For now its just about acceptable.

Bon produit
