Halloween (Collector's Edition)

Ordered on September 27 and arrived today 6th October here in the UK. Looking at some of the recent reviews I was a little unhappy knowing I was likely to get a flimsy slip cover. Which matters to us who like to collect physical media. Well it seems I got a hard cover copy! Tracking well a little off. Stated it was coming with DPD, but code did not work properly. Today, I got an email off Evri saying they would deliver. Fine by me then DPD arrive with the DVD. Either way it arrived safely in the standard Amazon style packaging. My only concern was the DVD’s inside were loose. Luckily no damage and the 4K plays fine. I won’t comment on the movie or picture quality as there on plenty of people on YouTube who are more well versed to tell you all you need to know. DVD and cover have no damage. A must have for any horror fan. Note, the 4k will work on all 4K players but the blu ray discs included are region A locked and will not work unless you have a multi-region player.

I waited a long time to watch “Halloween” in 4k Ultra HD, and it did not disappoint. Very happy and arrived super quick. 10/10

Not the best at writing reviews, but I'll give it a go; Excellent 4K restoration of a classic movie. In other 1080p versions of Halloween, the film noise combined with film grain can drown out the finer details within the background and thus spoil the movie, but in this 4k I can see all the little details I could never see before (I can see virtually every single blade of grass, every leaf on a tree, every detail on a persons face. Incredible!) The sound design and the distinction between music and sound effects are as crisp as you will ever find. The audio on 4k movies are the best I have ever experienced. SHOUT FACTORY releases are some of the best releases of 4K and a must buy for any fan of 4K. The 4K is region free but the blu rays are reagon A locked -- be aware when purchasing. 9.5/10 for the movie. 9/10 for picture quality. 10/10 for audio. Bravo SHOUT FACTORY!

One reason other that getting the best picture quality for physical media is the charm blu rays and box sets have, I really like the new concept art on the cover but would like to flip the covers booklet so I get the original art but still have an outer cover (which isn’t included) with the new art. Also upon opening two discs fell out, watch out for that. Three discs supplied as advertised disc two and three being region A something to be bore in mind for UK and European buyers.

No hardcover or slipcover, even though the picture indicates there will be one.

4K brings out the best in this classic horror film. 1st Class video restoration with super enhanced sound. Great job! 100% recommended.

The 4k transfer is extremely good. One negative is that the item now has a cardboard skip cover rather than the rigid box the other movies have. I contacted Shout Factory who confirmed they stopped issuing the rigid boxes last year. Amazon need to remove the picture advertising the item as it still shows the rigid box version.

Great packaging and a great film. Arrived quickly from the US. Very happy!!!

This classic will remain as one of the best terror classic movies. This 4K/BR version improves the picture and sound. It’s a must for the Halloween fans.

I can't wait for Halloween 2 to arrive I hope it's restoration is as super awesome as this one. I heard a couple of people say the 4K version looked a little grainy, it's not, it's actually the original film stock, as the restoration doesn\t blur it, im sure it's more tech than that but just my two cents.

An absolute horror classic, now in wonderful 4K.

This is an absolute essential for any horror fan. The 1978 classic in 4K is just beautiful. Great bonus content and just an absolute masterpiece of a film. Highly recommended along with all the Scream Factory Halloween collectors editions!
