MARUSON 600VA/300W Standby UPS Battery Backup with 6 Outlets, Overload and Overcharge Protection, 860J Surge Protection, Status Indicators, UL Certified (POP-600)

I have used this for a few months now. I have it on my Fish tank. We have had several power outages and never had any issues with the UPS.

The vendor website specs say the POP-600 includes "USB Cable and Software CD". The POP-600 sold here has neither; nor does it have any place to plug in a USB cable. Which means when the power goes out, and the battery is drained your PC will crash... just like yanking the plug out of the wall. I also could not get it to function in two different outlets in my office. The troubleshooting guide said what it might be based on either 2 or 4 seconds between beeps... mine was 3 seconds. It acted like the battery wasn't connected, so I opened it and disconnected and reconnected the battery... took out the fuse and put it back... finally I have a steady green light after it says the battery is weak. Maybe Maruson was just dumping the prototypes through Amazon. It's been a bad week for UPS's. I also received an Ultra ULT31502 1000 UPS from somewhere else which was DOA.

I here buying a second unit - the first burnt up (the fuse welded to the plastic housing) after 5 years of constant use. I have no complaints about the product whatsoever - it works exactly as expected for what it's intended purpose is. I'm using it to protect ~$5,000 worth of sound equipment from brown and blackouts. Someone is always with the equipment in case of power failure, so not have an "auto-shutdown" feature is not important to me.

warranty and reliability suck. They do not make a quality product and the price is really high for what your getting.
