Parker Version 2
Yes it is the version 2, version 1 did not have the Parker logo etched on the handle. Bear with me here, this may be long winded ... Loading this razor is like loading any other injector. Watch carefully as you load a razor, most issues with dull razors are due to the blade edge dragging across the guard cap on the outside edge. To prevent this issue when you insert the injector, slightly twist the the key counter clock wise as this will open the gap and allow the blade to be inserted without the razors cutting edge rubbing against the guard cap on the loading guard cap side. After loading the blade ensure that each end is seated into the guard caps. If they are not seated equal you can have a different gap at each end which will give a bad shave. One side will bite into your skin deeper than the shallow side. Another issue with these types of razor is beard preparation. Hydrated soft beards produce better results. For me canned cream is a no go, a good hydrating shave soap is key. This is not your faster multi blade, canned goo shave here. Think old school grandfather shaving. Enjoy the preparation, the shave, the time to take care of personal grooming without any rush. Shave angle is important with this razor. Feel the blade against your face, use less pressure than a multi blade cartridge, adjust your angle. Once again this is a shaver designed in 1926 so use some old fashioned technique. Now onto the razor itself: Pro's: Adjustable, Quick change out of blades, Handle has textured surface on inside for better grip while wet. Well built, mostly metal construction for durability. Con's: May not be good beginner razor, especially for those used to multi blade cartridges. Loading blades without attention to detail can make this razor seem inferior while shaving by dulling the blade during loading. May not shave well with an under prepared beard routine.

Awful
I should’ve listened to the negative reviews. This razor is one of the worst. I have ever used if I could give it less than one star I would. It does not prevent the blade from pulling my skin and cutting me continuously. With my normal razor, I very rarely cut myself, when I started using this one, I cut myself up to 18 times every time I shaved, including one sized Gouge. Very uncomfortable razor to use I thought I would get used to it in time. I tried it a few days and no improvement matter of fact it got worse. Finally, I threw the whole thing, including the blades, which really were not sharp away. And also, no matter how I set the razor to try to minimize damage it would not stop cutting me.

Blades are waste of money
The shaver is great. The blades are terrible. Not even three times shave. The third time almost impossible shave. Nowhere close to the original Shick Injector I had 50 years ago.

Very well built and balanced razor!
I’ve used a replaceable blade safety razor for 30 years, and have settled on my old Merkur as my favorite. This is my first injectable cartridge razor. The blades supplied with the Parker are sharp and good quality. The adjustable blade gap is a genius design. It allows the user to adjust how aggressive they want their shave to be. I love how smoothly the razor glides and the weight is perfect. The Parker will last any user a very long time with its impressive build quality. And you’ll actually enjoy, and look forward to shaving again because of it. With a price point as good as this, I highly recommend the Parker to anyone looking for a close shave and a quality razor.

Pretty good really would buy the blades again
I bought this because I bought the schick one that they have on Amazon and with the schick blades were terrible cuts my face or nicks only git one good shave from blade from it the rest were horrible or average or less then I tried the supply razor and it was smoother but gave me razor burn at times I wanted to love this type of razor I like the style and function but the shave was not great then I heard Parker made a adjustable injector razor so I wanted to try it. I would say that I would keep this one because it did better than the other ones and the blades are good with the schick or supply I had to switch blades as I was shaving because after the first pass I would get the blade less sharp and pull my hair or scratching my skin which were causing nicks which is why I had to switch a new blade into the razor. But the Parker blades I think are more platinum blades which is better I think but cuts great. The result from this Parker adjustable razor is that I think it is good it shave well I did get a few nicks but small ones the other injectors gave me razor burns and aftershave splash would burn tremendously but this was good way better then the others with there blades they have for them so I would give this like a 4.3 or 4.5 because the shave was good but it did not shave to bbs which what I like to get but did 90 percent of my hair which may need more practice and it gave me nicks but a few that’s why I think this is 4.5 stars try not to listen to the other reviews all the YouTube videos about this razor had been good for them I think the people that bough the razor injector razor were new to it. My recommendation is buy a safety razor instead either Rockwell is really good or Gillette king c gillette is really good too, Parker razors to me are good too but can be aggressive, weishi is good but less expensive and there Edwin jagger and merkur in fact get any safety razor that you may choose and practice using before trying this razor it gets time to get use to it and the safety razor blades are cheaper than the injector blades , Pennie’s to dollars with injector blades. Safety razor blades can be 2 dollars for five blades compared to injectors blades being 8 dollars for seven to eight and in my experience the safety razor double edge blades are far better, sharper and smoother than the injector but the Parker blades for this injector are good. But if you had use the injectors get the Parker adjustable injector razor I think it is a good razor and I am keeping mine but choose it if you want to try it don’t listen to the reviews but if it is not for you than just get the safety razor you will be happy with them I promise they are a good buy. But this razor is a good buy too in my opinion.

The worse shave ever
It could be me - user error. I didn’t change the setting from 1 and it was barely shaving. When I set it to the most aggressive setting, it worked better. At the end, I had cuts (not nicks) and the most severe razor burn ever, with a shave that was mediocre and far from BBS. The very best razor I’ve tried is the Henson ** in titanium - no weepers or nicks or razor burn, and BBS every time. I don’t know if the injector blade was not sharp enough or there was a problem with the angle of the blade. I needed more pressure and passes to remove my beard. Oh, and I began with pre-shave oil, and ample lather. After I used the alum bar to stop the bleeding and ease the burn / irritation, and applying an astringent after-shave, and after-shave balm, my face is still raw hours after the shave. For wet (DE) shaving, the Henson is the best designed, the Velocity One, the Futur, Envoy, and Konsul adjustable slant are excellent / first-rate; before (and still today) I love the Gillette multiblade cartridges - BBS shave mostly every time, no razor burn or weepers. Why shift to wet shaving? To try something new. Shaving with multi-blades is a bit mindless and boring at times.

The Perfect Razor for all Beards
I've looked unsuccessfully to replace my old single blade injector razor for years. Major manufacturers ceased to make them when they realized that razors with 2, 3 and even 4 blades were more profitable when replaced. This razor is perfectly balanced, has good hand "feel," and gives you a choice of cuts through easy adjustment of the blade angle with the turn of a dial. If it also proves durable over time, I have no doubt I will use this razor until I die. A minor complaint: The manufacturer included a bonus of replacement blades with my razor. Nice touch. Unfortunately the blades were beyond dull and pulled the hairs from my face, rather than cutting them. But I didn't buy the razor for the replacement blades, so I'm happy with the performance of the razor alone.

Great product
This is my 1st single blade shaver, I have to admit is kind of scary using it at the beginning but with the correct shaving cream is smooth l, the blade just glides and no irritation after, I will say price is a bit high for shaver but now I know why, will I but it again absolutely, and now that’s my son is coming to age I might buy him one as a gift.
