Pre de Provence Shea Butter Enriched Artisanal French Soap Bar (250 g) - White Gardenia

All of these soaps smell wonderful. They are very creamy and last forever. Have tried several and like them all

The "Pre de Provence soaps come in several different fragrances, I ordered the milk fragrance, so happy I did. It does indeed have the fragrance of fresh milk along with shea butter. If anyone has used " SOFTSOAP" brand's milk & honey liquid hand soap, it has a similar scent as that. not exact but close. Immediately I showered with it, wow, my skin was left so very soft but not just soft, I was able to tell my skin was moisturized. The fragrance remained with me through the day. But it wasn't so strong that the scent would have prevented me from wearing my favorite perfumes or colognes. It lathered well but not a great deal. Anyone formiliar with soaps actually containing shea butter, milk or both does produce less lather. This bar weighs 250 grams, that is 8.8 oz. A very big bar of soap for the 💲. I know this bar will last me quite awhile, my husbsnd & son use irish spring, this is all mine.😄. The packaging can be improved on greatly. It arrived simply in clear cellophane wrapping paper, inside a box with another item also ordered from amazon. It does have some small gouges in it. But it is only soap. After using this, I immediately joined amazon's subscribe & save plan. This soap will be coming to me regularly now. In the future I may try other scents from "Pre de Provence". I regularly use Pre de Provence soap and don't review every type I purchase but given the intense scent of this soap, I realized I better give the future gardenia soap purchasers a heads up. The smell is quite a nice natural gardenia, but being gardenia it is not subtle -- not Pepe Le Pew asphyxiating, but some sensitive people may find it a bit cloying. In fact, if you have this soap in the soap dish for any amount of time, you will not need a room freshener in the bathroom at all. The soap itself is great and like other Pre de Provence soaps, it has bits of the plant in the soap so don't be put off by the little flecks of material in the bar. And it makes a fantastic lather and does not dry. Of course, it lasts a long time as well. Hands down it is a great buy; the only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the fragrance may put some people off.

The gardenia scent is floral lovely, and abundant lather when using my natural sea sponge. I like how soft it leaves my skin.
