Some books ask to be read, The Prophet asks to be felt. It isn’t a novel and it isn’t a typical self-help book — it’s like a voice speaking directly to the part of you that thinks, breaks, loves, loses and still continues. Every section feels like a distilled truth: a single paragraph says what many books take chapters to explain. You read slowly, not because it’s difficult, but because every sentence begs you to pause and absorb it. This isn’t a book you finish , it’s a book that finishes inside you. This edition is visually stunning. The cover alone can make someone pick it up even without knowing Gibran — elegant, warm, almost magnetic. But the moment you start reading, the page quality breaks the spell a little. Flimsy, dull paper for a book that carries words like scripture — a mismatch. Still, despite the production flaw, the content rises above it. If you want something you can return to at different ages and hear a new meaning each time , this is that kind of book.

We never think about birth, death, family, relationships, love and yourself. This book forces you to think the same, it is important to ask some questions. Even if you do not find the answer you are looking for, because the person who will ask these questions will never give you an answer that satisfies you. He will always say something that will hurt you. This book does the same. That is why some legend's said that it is important to ask questions, then only someone will get to know about your thoughts.

These are of my all time favourites - I love the poetry, the wisdom and if I were to go to a remote island this would definitely be one of the books that I would take...I love ALL his works, he's brilliant - written originally in Arabic which only adds to beauty....would have all his works if able and would highly recommend - simple insights but profound - I've learned a lot from him.....Squirrel 59 - 11.2.16

A very easy read....beautifully written. No doubt I will re-read many times. A favourite of Elvis apparently....I can see why

I got this as a gift for my girlfriend. She absolutely loved it. The book's artwork, fonts renders it a very good old times feel to it unlike having to read in digital format. The content itself is first class but having already read it, i would still recommend this book as a gift to anyone who appreciates poetry.
