Edit: As I previously stated I had been looking at this bag for a while. I jealously saw all of the reviews of people who received the bag at a discount. Earlier this summer I decided to pull the trigger and for the most part I was happy. I had a couple of small issues as documented below that I will leave for transparency. The owners contacted me to see if there was anything that they could do to address my concerns. They were very understanding and only cared about the satisfaction of the customer. As my case was a little different the decided it was best to send me a new bag and I am 100% happy with it. I am more inclined to believe that my experience was just a one off thing that happens from time to time. I also bought some more containers along with the ones that I received with the new bag and they all work great. I washed them 3 times so far and no spills. Although I do not recommend flipping your lunch box around all of these new ones seem to be passing the test. I for one though will most likely just hand wash them because now I have so many that I could probably do a load of dishes with just those things. I figure that will also extend the life of the containers anyways even though I have no real proof that using them in the dishwasher will hurt them. Also This bag can fit other plastic containers but it was made for the ones that came with it. I feel like you could get away with it but why? These containers are the perfect size and I would trust these a lot more in the microwave and such over the cheap ones you may buy in a grocery store. This really is a great bag. I will probably be buying my wife one now sometime around Christmas because she likes my bag more than the $100+ meal prep bag i bought her last Christmas :-( . I had been eyeing this for a while. I see most people in the reviews received a discount. I paid full price. After a month of use I have some pros and cons as to why I only gave 3 stars. Pros: -Looks great. I receive many compliments on the looks. -The extra strap is pretty cool to. I like the option. -The top compartment is very handy. -Keeps food cold. Seems to be insulated very well. I haven't put it to a rough test yet but for normal daily activity it has done the job. -Compact but efficient -Strong exterior Cons: -The zipper on the main pocket always gets stuck. This is the primary con for me. It catches the insulation on almost every zip. Whether it be zipping up the zipper or unzipping. I feel like the inner lining will not last long at this rate. (please note I also make a special effort the make sure this doesn't happen and sometime it still does.) -More of an annoyance really but when you have one of the straps connected to the sides you have to either unstrap the strap to easily unzip the zipper or just deal with it and maneuver the strap around as you unzip. Me being picky: -The containers don't really seem all that dishwasher safe to me. I washed them for the first week in dish washer and they all became warped within a couple uses. Now i just hand wash. -For someone coming from having a much larger box it doesn't seem like a lot of space. I am getting used to it though and you just have to pack efficiently. Overall the bag does the job and it serves the purpose. I am just not sure how long the front compartment will last me so I am unsure if I will repurchase another one or look elsewhere when this one wears down.

I loooooove this bag! It is literally perfect for my needs. I searched for a bag for months, bought a few others, and returned them all because they either weren't good quality or didn't have room for what I need. I bring a lot to work every day- food for 12 hours, miscellaneous tools for my job, sometimes books and notebooks, and generally need to have it with me at all times. Before I would carry a backpack and a lunch box, but it was getting to be too much and I really wanted to scale down not only what I bring but how I carry it. I love this because I can fit my notebooks, textbooks, pens, etc. in the flat compartment in the back. The key hook is also very handy. The very top compartment is small, but just enough for my phone and glasses cleaning kit. The mesh sides are perfect because I carry both a coffee thermos and water bottle and they fit wonderfully. Then the two main compartments are great because they give you options on how to carry your food. They are both insulated, so you could put food in both if you like. I usually only have enough to fit into one of them, so I use the top one for my food and put my utensils, condiments, etc. in the mesh pocket inside. In the bottom one I put my work stuff like gloves, tools, lotion, etc. and stuff like ibuprofen and cold medicine in that mesh pocket. It's very tidy and organized, yet still simple so I am very glad that I found this bag. It also looks nice! I got the tan brown color and it looks professional enough to bring to work. The canvas gets kind of "scratches" on it if you catch it on your nails or something, but honestly it doesn't really affect it and my bags get beat up at work anyway so I knew it wouldn't remain perfect-looking for too long. And I can't forget the containers and ice packs. I didn't really need them because I already have a ton of meal prep containers, but they are awesome! They are good quality, seal well, and fit perfectly in the pack. If I didn't already have so many, I would probably order more of these ones because they're great. Overall, this backpack is awesome and I'm super glad I got it. I've had it for a few months and it seems to be holding up well, but honestly if and when it starts falling apart I will probably just order a new one.

This is my second set of lunch bags I’ve purchased from Evolutionize (two - one for myself and one for my husband). My last set lasted around two years before it started showing signs of wear and tear, after daily use. The old ones still functioned, though, they just weren’t looking pretty (at no fault to this amazing company). We decided to replace our old ones and were happy to see a couple of upgrades since the last model bag we had. The new, all-black design is sleek looking. We love the fact it now comes with a slim ice pack and three meal prep containers. Very convenient. My husband and I prefer glass containers with snap lock lids for our personal meal prep (they are easier to keep clean), but these containers are pretty good for plastic ones. I like the snap close lids. You can comfortably fit all three containers and the ice pack inside the bag and still have room in the compartments to add additional storage. I may suggest for the next refresh design maybe just like an inch taller for the inside compartment, in case people like using glass versus plastic and want the ability to add a second or third slim ice pack inside to keep their food extra cold. Or maybe even include three glass snap lock containers with the bag that are designed to fit inside? Otherwise, I have no other suggestions. Our last set lasted a long time and we are hoping this set will last just as long. It’s really an awesome bag if you prepare your food for the day and need to bring your food on the go.

***UPDATE*** This is a great company that is extremely responsive. See below for my initial experience, though. The company owner reached out to me quickly to rectify the icepack problem and to address my shoulder strap concern. They sent me a new icepack and I expect it will last for quite awhile. I am upgrading my review to four stars as a result of their excellent customer service. I would feel confident buying from Evolutionize again. ***Initial review*** The bag itself is great. It is well constructed, the design is practical and allows me to keep my dry goods, silverware, powders, hot or cold drinks, and refrigerated meals all separate which is fantastic. The meal prep containers are awesome, but sadly not available for separate purchase...so I can't buy more. I have only found the flimsy version that Evolutionize recommends here on Amazon. The bag has two major flaws however: 1) The strap works well, but has no shoulder pad, so it is slippery. I have to tuck the shoulder strap under my backpack's shoulder strap just to make it stay on my shoulder. It should really have a grip pad to help it stay on your shoulder. 2) The ice pack broke quickly. I noticed within two weeks that there was blue gunk inside my bag and upon inspection, I noticed that the icepack broke where it has a connective joint in the middle (notice the two small divots in the middle of the pack). This happened simply by freezing, thawing, and re-freezing. It has not received an impact and I take care of the product. I now have to keep the ice pack in a freezer Ziploc bag to avoid getting more blue gunk on my bag or meal prep containers. I might be the only one who experienced this....but I doubt it. The case of the icepack should be stronger to resist expansion cracks while freezing. I will need to get another ice pack from a different vendor. This problem makes me not want to recommend this bag to others, so if Evolutionize improves the icepack and installs a shoulder grip, this bag would be awesome, but for now I recommend other brands to those considering this bag.

I would rate the bag on its own a four, but the customer service I received bumped them up to a five. First, what I liked about the bag. The bag is a great size, seems to be well made with quality zippers, hooks, etc. and a really nice grip handle. Contrary to another comment, it does open without having to unhook the handle. The three compartments keep things well organized. The minor drawbacks was that the containers that it comes with fit perfect with the ice pack, but my existing ones are slightly bigger and fit but are too tight for three and an ice pack. I do like the containers that came with it, so may transition over as my existing ones wear out. The other minor issue is that the drink section is a little small. If I put my ninja blender cup in it is limited what will fit in next to it. The fact that two bottles fit is still better than the others that clearly only accommodate one. Finally, I had great customer service, including a reply back within 30 minutes that was sincere and helpful, not some generic canned reply. Even in (or especially in) an online marketplace that still means a lot. It is really nice being able to carry lunch, snacks and drinks without worrying about them tipping over, popping open, or just not fitting in the average lunch bag or tote.

*Edited* the company actually sent me an email just one day after I left my original review. They explained the reason for the strap placement was a conscious decision and sent me a new container since my first one was defective. So far none of the zipper ends have come off. I am highly impressed with the level of courtesy and professionalism the company exhibited. I also have to stress that for the size, this thing fits a lot of stuff. As others have mentioned, there is a strange design choice to have the straps attached to the flap needed to open to get to the main compartment. You have to unhook the straps or push them to the side if they are loose enough to open the flap. They straps aren't particularly difficult to hook and unhook but it is a slight inconvenience. On the top compartment, the zipper continually catches the insulation fabric on the inside. It looks like the way that it was seen causes the fabric to tilt toward the zipper and because it is on the inside and on a corner it is hard to see to fix and stop before it happens. Also, before I even had a chance to use the bag while I was inspecting it, the plastic/rubber grip came off of one of the zippers. Barely touched it. Doesn't give me high hopes for the durability of the bag. On the plus side, it's a pretty color and fits quite a bit. I already had some food prep containers but they are bigger than the ones that came with it but they still fit. I had the bag at my desk for an entire day with the frozen gel pack in it and by the time I got home over 12 hours later, the gel pack was still partially frozen. Overall I would buy it again.

One of my co-workers has a larger version of this, but I chose this size because it fit my needs better, or at least I thought it would. Hers has a specific pouch the ice bag can go in so that all three containers can remain equally cold. This one does not; it appears that the top pouch is where the ice bag goes. I'm a bit disappointed as I was going to use that space to store smaller food items, such as bagged snacks. Luckily, I have a square, plastic ice "box" that keeps its shape and can slide into the side of the main compartment, keeping all three boxes cool. The plastic boxes are also flimsy enough that I will probably replace them with same-sized glass ones - if I put pasta sauce or something in the plastic ones, the smell and color will never come out. The side compartment has enough space for a 20 oz San Pellegrino bottle, so I'm happy with that, and the ice bag that came with this can fit in the second half of that compartment to keep the drink cool. Overall, it's a great shape and size for what I need, but not really worth $25. I'll save up and buy a bigger version in the future. This is adequate, but not nearly as impressive as the larger one I saw my colleague using.

I have been using this bag every day since I bought it. The quality of the bag itself is very high. The outside is coated so you don't have to worry about it ripping. has two insulated compartments one on top of the other, I prefer the vertical meal bags over the horizontal ones. The bag came with meal prep containers and two ice packs (one for each compartment) that last a long time. I work 9 hours and the Ice packs are still frozen when I get home. as well as the compartments maintain cool temps all day long. The cup holder nets on both sides hold a massive bottle size. I use 40oz tumblers and sometimes larger sizes, hold them perfectly. 10/10 would recommend for anyone who is trying to get on track with caloric intake or meal prep.

Great meal bag for shift workers. I can pack the EDC meal prep bag and know I have enough to keep me going for 12hr+ shifts. The containers work perfectly and the ice brick keeps everything cool for as long as I've needed.

Love this eski with it’s side zipper and pullout trays. Ten out of ten for someone with creative thinking .
