Easy to use cake cutter with handy storage
This cake cutter tool is a breeze to use and made cutting 8-inch cakes so much easier. It fit perfectly on my 12-inch knife and allowed for clean, even slices every time. I also love that it comes with a storage container to keep everything neat and clean. Great tool for anyone who loves baking and wants to make their cake-cutting process effortless. Highly recommend!

attaches to your knife but they are a little bulky so they reduce the cutting area that your knife can cover. I have a standard length serrated knife and found I could cut up to a 7" cake max.

Best Thing Since Sliced Bread
Where have you been all my life?? Every time that I try to torte a layer cake with my Wilton cake slicer it turns out to be a disaster! With these cake slicers, it is easy peasy to torte a layer cake. You can make your layers extremely thin if you want - no problem for this slicer. Easy to use, easy to clean. What more could a baker ask for? Highly recommend. Love, love, love!

Need a very long knife to use
Buyer needs to know you need a VERY LONG knife to use this slicer. I estimate your knife needs to be at least 2 inches longer than the cake and slicer combined. The extra 2 inches+ will allow you to move the knife back and forth to cut the cake.

Makes cutting layers easy
Used this to make a lemon cake with several layers, alternating cake and lemon curd. This item made it possible to cut thin layers evenly. Worked out just the way I wanted it to.

Will not hold a knife in place
A knife will not lock into place, no matter how soft the cake is. Pops right out. Good concept, bad execution.

Don't let the size of these guys fool you! They work with any serrated knife and produce fantastic results, Nice level cake layers!! So easy to use too. Results are much better than some of the other options out there with less hassle.

Great for even slices from a home-baked loaf
After receiving a bread making machine for Xmas, I've been making a loaf once or twice a week. However, I've been making a right mess of slicing them freehand! I thought I'd try these and I've been delighted with the results. I clip them onto my long bread knife at either end of the blade and it's really easy to get a dozen really good, even slices from a 750g loaf recipe (using the second notch up). They're also great for taking the dome top off a Victoria sponge cake on the higher notch setting. I can't comment on longevity but so far I'm delighted with them. A great kitchen gadget and in a handy little storage box. Highly recommended!
