720 Pcs Historical Collection WWII /2550/ Sherman M4A3E2

This is 100% a typical Cobi kit. Clear instructions. Engineering can seem a bit odd until a later step makes it all come together in a very stable way. Definitely not for the youngest children but I would guess 8+ with supervision and help occasionally or 10+ with very little adult input. It has the usual very tiny stubs used for machine gun tips. I was impressed that the crew comes with an M3 "Grease Gun" submachinegun as this is very accurate for a tank crew. One thing I would like Cobi to do is include an image of the inspiration for each kit, specifically the markings. The traditional plastic modeler in me would just enjoy the reference. Speaking to the value for the money I am old enough that everything seems more expensive than it should be! I find that as an experienced model builder I seem to average about one long evening per 300 parts in a toy brick kit most Cobi tanks run 2 evenings or longer if you build very casually. In the mid-50s US$ that seems a little expensive but compared to what else is out there and the quality of Cobi it is worth it. These would be great to share the build with a grandchild for some quality time. Enjoy your building!

Pieces are bagged and numbered and the numbers matched in the instructions. Some of the small detail pieces, like the tracks take some finesse to get in right. It had 2 extra track links, plus 2 extra used as decoration on other parts of the tank that did come in handy because either the pieces weren't quite right or I bent them. The way they attached the back at an angle is a little wonky to attach but it works. The tracks do roll and move, but it needs to be on a surface with some friction. They're too rigid to roll on very smooth surfaces. Turret moves pretty easy, and the 3 crew hatches and engine bay open easy. Overall, it was pretty straight forward to put together. I probably spent 2 hours putting it together, as someone who has not built brick kits in a long time.

More detailed than I thought it would be. Looks great on display, easy to assemble with pretty clear instructions and works just like real Lego. But there is one downside if you're giving this to a kid and they want to play with it when turning the tank the tracks do not like to stay on where they're supposed to but the track pieces stay together well. I have bought one other tank from them and it's also pretty darn good and I plan on buying another tank from Cobi. As a WW2 Nerd and with this tank being my favorite tank probably of all time, I knew that when I saw this I had to buy it and also because I'm a WW2 to nerd i made some modifications to it to give the soldier a rank with paper.

il carro come tutti i prodotti cobi e' molto ben strutturato e solido nell'assemblaggio dei mattoncini, le istruzioni sono ben elencate e facili da seguire anche se devo notare che i mattoncini riportanti su un solo lato le scritte " USA 3083084 " e altre scritte visibili lateralmente sul carro non sono confezionati a parte, ne comporta che una volta montati se non ci si accorge delle scritte bisogna smontare nuovamente per cercarli. La struttura comunque molto ben fatta e come tutti i carri " cobi " molto simili nei dettagli all'originale, i cingoli sono molto stabili e anche gli accessori sono presenti, la catena da montare ad ogni singola maglia ( presente nel retro del carro) risulta complicata da montare ma si tratta di un parere soggettivo, la torretta nell'inserimento dell'omino risultava troppo poco profonda e ho dovuto apportare una modifica, i restanti omini e accessori presenti nelle foto sono stati aggiunti da me, ritengo il carro un ottimo prodotto da collezionare.

☝🏼Kaufgrund: Ich bin zufällig auf Klemmbausteinmodelle abseits von Dänemark aufmerksam geworden und habe eine Leidenschaft neu entdeckt.Für "richtige" Modellbausätze mit zusammenkleben,bemalen,etc. fehlt mir die nötige Zeit und da sind die Klemmbausteinmodelle von Cobi (und anderen Herstellern!) die richtige Alternative!Hier baut man in der Regel je nach Modellgröße 2,5-10 Stunden (oder mehr) und hat nach der Fertigstellung ein schönes Modell fürs die Vitrine oder das Regal.Es gibt von Militaria über Autos,Lkw,Gebäude verschiedener Epochen alles mögliche und unmögliche zu klemmen mit wundervoll detaillierten Modellen. ✅ Pro: Vorweg:Cobi ist einer der Top-Hersteller von solchen Modellen.Die Steine werden in der EU gefertigt und haben eine hervorragende Klemmkraft und Farbtreue.Der Kundenservice bei Fehlteilen (was mal vorkommen kann) reagiert sehr prompt und unkompliziert.Online kann das fehlende Teil gemeldet werden und innerhalb weniger Tage erfolgt die Lieferung des Klemmsteines-sehr vorbildlich! Der Sherman selber lädst dich sehr gut bauen.Die Anleitung ist übersichtlich und man wird nicht mit Bauschritten oder zu vielen zu verbauenden Teilen überfordert.Statt billiger Aufkleber sind die Teile bedruckt (!) -auch mal über 2 oder 3 Klemmbausteine hinweg. Es können 3 Luken geöffnet werden und die Motorabdeckung,der Geschützturms ist drehbar und die Kanone beweglich.Außerdem sind auf etwas rauherem Untergrund (Teppich,Tischdecke) die Ketten beweglich und der Panzer läßt sich fahren. ❌Contra: Etwas Schwierigkeiten habe ich mit den Cobi-Figuren:Arme und Beine sind beweglich und es gibt etliche "Persönlichkeiten".Ich finde die Gesichter selber aber nicht "schön".Sie wirken oft verzerrt oder boshaft-ja,es sind Soldaten und man will ja auch keine heile Dänemark-Welt vortäuschen.Aber ich tue mich noch schwer darin die kleinen Kerle in meinen Modellen zu mögen. 👉🏼Fazit: Der Sherman aus der Historical Collection von Cobi ist ein wirklich sehr gut zu bauendes Modell.Im Bausatz sind 720 Teile die zusammengeklemmt ein wirklich schönes Displaymodell ergeben.Das muss nämlich noch gesagt/geschrieben werden:auch wenn es vielebewegliche Teile am Panzer gibt-es ist meiner Meinung nach letztlich kein Spielzeug.Nicht wegen dem Militärhintergrund (wir haben doch fast alle als Kinder irgendwie Krieg nach-/gespielt) sondern weil Cobi einfach diesen Modellbaustyle in Klemmbausteine umgesetzt hat und ein detailiertes Panzermodell erschaffen hat:einfach zu schade um bespielt zu werden-auch wenn solche Modelle immer etwas größer in der Ausführung wirken.
