For a normal community tank bioload, you should add 1.35 oz per gallon of water. 20g = 1.7 lbs, 75g = 6.4 lbs The Biohome should be set on top of your sponges or depending on the type of your filter, it should be the last thing your water touches as it exits the filter.

Do you ever replanish this or one time buy?

This is a one time buy item. You place it in your canister filter and it will become home to beneficial bacteria such as aerobic and anaerobic bacteria that will help breakdown waste products in your water.

Do you need to wash media when doing a water change? Or do you just leave media in canister and never have to ch media again?

just leave it, if the media gets too plugged up, just rinse it with some( tank )water, otherwise just leave it alone it never needs to be changed.

How much media do i need for a sunsun hw-3000 canister filter on a 75 gallon cichlid tank?

1 lb bags are small, I have a sunsun 704b with 4 lbs in it and still plenty of room for sponges and extra ceramic media

No Reduction in Nitrate Levels

It's been 15 days since the installation and I didn't see any reduction in the nitrate level in the tank. I continue to have ammonia and nitrite spikes as well as in the tank. The product seems like a hoax and an expensive POS.
