What is the grit of the honing stone?

Dunno, but based on feel, the grit is good enough for the work you'll be doing at this price range. At this price, this package is worth the money. By the time the stones become an issue, you won't be using this style of stone anyway. Search for sandpaper scary sharp on YouTube. The simple fact is that these chisels are a great deal.
