A Practical, No-Lectures Guide to Social Confidence, Respect, and Real-World Skills Raising teens is a challenge. One minute theyโre funny and charming, the next theyโre moody, distracted, or glued to their screens. You want them to succeed, to connect with family and friends, to feel confident in social situationsโbut teaching them the small things that make a big difference often feels impossible. 52 Modern Manners for Todayโs Teens is designed for this exact problem. This book isnโt about formal etiquette or outdated โdoโs and donโts.โ Itโs about the skills that really matter today: social awareness, respect, confidence, teamwork, and digital responsibility. These are the lessons that help teens thrive in a world thatโs more connected, more digital, and often more complicated than it used to be. Teens may resist learning. They may roll their eyes or push back. Thatโs normal. This book works differently. It teaches through a stand-up flip calendar format, where each page presents one clear, actionable manner on the front and explains the โwhyโ and practical steps on the back. Place it on a desk, countertop, or bedside table and let teens engage naturally, week by week, at their own pace. What makes it so effective: Relevant lessons for real life: Teens learn about digital safety, personal hygiene, inclusion, teamwork, and everyday social skills. Short, direct, and memorable: Lessons are designed to stick without feeling overwhelming or preachy. Independent learning: Teens can explore the lessons on their own, reducing tension and eye-rolling. Visual and interactive: The calendar-style design keeps lessons visible and top-of-mind all week. Some of the key manners included are: โNothing online is privateโ โ staying safe and mindful online. โThe way you smell mattersโ โ small habits with big social impact. โDonโt leave just one person outโ โ promoting empathy and kindness. โPitch inโ โ understanding contribution, teamwork, and responsibility. โIntroduce yourselfโ โ gaining confidence in social interactions. These are just a few of the 52 powerful lessons that have already helped over 100,000 families and classrooms. Parents report smoother family interactions and more respectful communication. Teachers and educators find it an invaluable tool for guiding students toward better social awareness and stronger interpersonal skills. Who benefits: Teens ages 11 and up, whether shy, outgoing, or somewhere in between. Ideal for families, classrooms, or independent learning, itโs a resource that grows with your teen and provides meaningful guidance at every stage of social development. Why this book works: Teens gain confidence without feeling pressured. Lessons are actionable and meaningful in todayโs world. Teaches digital responsibility, empathy, teamwork, and self-awareness. Encourages positive relationships at home, school, and online. Visual format reinforces daily learning and creates natural conversation starters. Looking for more? Great for a house of teens
Love this! I move it to be on our front table or in front of kitchen sink so it hits all 3 of our teens. I flip the page after someone talks about the topic or after a couple weeks. Great advice in quick examples!

Worth the price
I hesitated to purchase this for a while because the price is a little high but it has been worth it to stimulate fruitful conversations with my children (one teen and two a bit younger). Happy with it!

Spawning good humans
Iโm optimistic that having messages like โlook people in the eyes when youโre talking with them,โ and, โsend a thank you note, or at least a text when someone does nice something for you,โ will sink in better than just my voice attempting to imprint on the smooth grey matter in the skulls of my tween/teen replacement set. We keep it out in the kitchen, so the sleepy eyes of cereal-munching kiddos will see it in the quiet morning moments. Accidental meditation? Iโm ok with it. I like the fonts and displays, but the messages are spot on, simple, and phrased positively. I have not found any to be religious or preachy. These are simply basic human interaction skills that need to be conveyed, but aside from cotillion or finishing school are not part of the basic curriculum kids encounter today. I only wish I had discovered this while they were in diapers.

Great ideas!
Great to put in the front of my classroom and have good conversations. Some things Iโve had to pass over, but great ideals!

A must-have companion to raising kind thoughtful teens.
Love love love this! Itโs everything youโve been trying to teach your kids about being an awesome human being. Each week is a well thought out and well worded synopsis of how to deal with both everyday situations and unpleasant situations teens find themselves in. We even keep it at the dinner table and take turns reading it. I especially like to read it when my kids have friends over just in case they need the advice too.

So good!
Honestly so good. A really easy way to openly talk to your children about how they should behave in certain situations, but without it being a lecture or a telling off. We have it on the table and a couple of times a week will turn the page and just have a family discussion. I love the format of it too, as you flip the pages the writing for the discussion topic is in the back of the previous page. Itโs just really clever and we love it!

A great way to subtly teach our teens important manners!
As a teacher, I have noticed changes in kids behaviours over the years and "Modern Manners" is a wonderful support to busy families to ensure that their children know how to behave politely. I love that these manners are simple but effective. The stand format of the book is an AMAZING idea! I sit this stand with a new manner each week on our buffet next to our dining table. The kids notice it and we don't have to spend a long time discussing the manner of the week. I also LOVE the TYPOGRAPHY of the manner pages. The font is sophisticated enough that I'm okay to leave it out on display, but the size differences and placements of the text make it stand out for the kids. This is a great resource. I have a teen and a preteen and it's hugely relevant for my boys today!

Coffee table worthy
Quality paper and stand! Love that it is two sided with plain text on one side and a little more interesting font on the other so you can choose. Looks good enough to set on the coffee side table in my family room reminding the teens the tip for the week every time they pass it.
