I compared several videos on air fryers on U-tube, along with comparing the good and bad reviews on all. I came to the conclusion that the Cosori Air Fryer had the best features for me along with being in the price range I felt comfortable with. Easy instructions for cooking and function is normal with the ability to heat up to 450 degrees. I really like the control buttons being on the top and completely sealed, rather than on the front with notches where food could get stuck. This completely sealed control top makes it easy to clean.

This was an excellent purchase. Very user friendly, easy to maintain and clean. The overall size of the COSORI Air Fryer 5 QT is perfect for small to large size cooking. I am not a fan of too many kitchen appliances but I will say that this is well worth the investment for what it does and the rewards that it yields to your time management, nutrition and economic needs. Overall design and color is sleek, and simple, a little more boxy for my taste and space availability but I am able to live with it for the benefits that it yields. Food experimentation was successful each time. The lamb chops came out excellent although I would try a lower temperature to begin the cooking process and finish it with the preset temperature at a shorter interval. The steak fries was also an excellent tester that passed the experimentation. The giant prawns cooked to the exact specification of tenderness on the preset temperature for seafood. This appliance is powerful from the standpoint of its cooking ability. I can put the ingredients in an 20-30 minutes later its done to the perfection that I require without having to spare a moment to keep an eye on it while I am busy with another task. I especially enjoy the fact that it is an easy to clean and maintain kitchen appliance. The basket is easy to clean even after it cools down and the crustiness from the food hardens. A quick soak in warm soapy water after the basket cools down and soft sponge does the trick. No residue of smell left in the pan at all. The inner housing can be easily wiped down with a damp cloth when the entire appliance cools down makes for easy maintenance - no more than 1 minute. It does make a huge difference in the prep and cooking when you need a quick and healthy meal after a long day of work. The COSORI 5 quart was the best after looking at a plethora of other air fryers and also having tested with my sister's (not COSORI brand). The cooking basket height and width is excellent - spacious cooking, especially if you like pans that give you room to maneuver the ingredients. The overall size of the appliance for the countertop would be slightly larger for a small kitchen with less countertop space but if you have room to spare you would hardly notice it taking up room; but for what this appliance does, I would say that the space issue becomes a non-issue. The initial and subsequent cooking in the air fryer did not yield an odd smell that you would normally get from non-stick surfaces. I did follow the suggestion to preheat and I did it with a bowl of water-vinegar solution in the air fryer for about 20 min cycle two times. The price point for this appliance was reasonable especially for what you are getting. HIGHLY recommend this particular model of COSORI.

I bought this thinking I would use it a few times a month, I use it much more often. This is the perfect size for me, or a couple but a family may wish to buy a larger one. It's a good quality fryer, easy to use and easy to clean. So far everything I've cooked came out well and with less mess than using the stove or having to heat up an oven for one sweet potato. Glad I purchased.

The simple intuitive design makes cooking with this air fryer a real pleasure. As someone who has never used an air fryer, I found learning how to use it very easy. My main reason for buying it was to reduce the amount of oil in my diet from deep fried foods. Every time I fill my deep fryer it costs $13 to $15 in the USA, but with the air fryer many foods only require a light misting of oil. I use an oil pump sprayer that significantly reduces oil cost. I figure the thing will pay for itself in oil and energy cost with the year. Now I don't have to heat up my kitchen in the hot summer with a big gas oven just to hear a few fries or roast some chicken. The speed, cooking functions, timer and heat levels are perfect for what I use it for. I love the way this thing makes crispy chicken wings, frozen battered fish, onion rings and French Fries (Crisps for the UK folks) and OMG! you should see all the amazing recipes I've discovered for this thing. It's like going on a culinary adventure everyday trying out all the new things I can make with it. Now here's the part I really love about it,.. the way it's built. I totally dismantled it and examined every part, every component, safety features, and the circuit board. (I'm weird like that) Actually I went much deeper into it. Then I did some research on replacement parts available. Then I studied the design looking for that "Built in obsolescence", you know, that one thing most manufactures build into stuff to make the item fail after a set period of time. I could find any! The ceramic coating on the cooking surfaces is really good, I wouldn't use abrasive cleaners on it so everything will glide and slide nicely. It cleans really easy but there are some areas between the handle and outside of the shaker pan that can't be accessed without taking the handle off. I recommend doing that once a month if you use it a lot or more if something nasty gets between there. Don't buy the model that has app control or notifications, it's gimmicky and unnecessary. If you've never used an air fryer, after a small learning period, it will be your new favorite kitchen appliance.

Overall, a good air fryer, performs well, and is a good size. Okay value, get's upgraded to good value if you nuy it on sale. I especially appreciate the fryer's ability to go up to 450 F, which other fryers don't - they max out at 400 F. Those extra 50 degrees help if you like a nice crisp taste without drying out your food. Have by now used mine for over four months almost daily, and it has completely replaced my little toaster oven for anything except, well - toast. So, why only four stars? - The biggest annoyance of this (at least my) unit is the touch screen: it sometimes (but not always) just doesn't respond; especially annoying if I halt the cooking process (using the "start/stop" field/button as described in the manual) to shake or turn the food over. On occasion, the only thing that gets it working again is unplugging it, plugging it back in, setting the (remaining) time and temperature again and so on, and then it starts. Really takes away from the "ease of use", which IMHO is an important reason to buy an air fryer. - The insert fits, but is a bit loose. You want to be careful when, for example, gently dumping French fries on a serving plate, or the (really hot) metal insert (frying platform) comes right down with your food. That can make a little mess, but, more annoyingly, slightly burn your hand if you're holding the plate up while transferring your food and it falls on it. So, I now know better, leave the plate on the table, and push the insert down with a wooden spoon so it doesn't fall out. Of course, if the silicon spacers would fit a bit better, that wouldn't be necessary. And, you really wnat to use the insert, it's important to get good hot air flow around the food. Good aspects: Basket and insert are easy to clean (gentle dish soap, hot water and a gentle dish brush work best), the timer works, and basically no or very little oil is needed. Lastly: Don't buy the 5 qt size that I bought if you're preparing food for more than two adults. For a family of four, it's probably big enough for appetizers, but for a main course for three or four, get a larger unit. Those images showing an almost overflowing basket of food shown for every fryer on Amazon give the wrong idea; you really want to spread your food out (single layer is best), and avoid having a heap of fries or chicken tenders. It might still work, but you'll have to shake and turn your food many more times to avoid uneven cooking.

Great size for smaller household, 2 people. Well-made, reliable, easy to use. Very intuitive, but also it came with a detailed manual and some recipe suggestions. Nice and crispy results when using the rack-type insert and just a spritz of avocado oil. Very happy with how easy this Cosori is, and with the good results. We'll probably stick with Cosori if we ever want a different size.

I was reluctant to buy yet another kitchen gadget, especially when I have a convection oven. While staying with a friend during a recovery, I used her air fryer to make our meals. I fell instantly in love with the way it cooks chicken breasts. I used a quick marinade then put the chicken in the fryer and 16 minutes later had fully cooked chicken. The outside seared and browned while the inside stayed nice and juicy. Fast forward to returning home. I had to have one. Through my research, I found this model the 5 qt compact which I found should meet all of my chicken cooking needs. Got it home and made chicken, but on those days where I found myself cooking another protein in a different way looked to experiment with sides, desserts, and other dishes. This 5 qt. is perfect for cooking enough of one item for two people. That's when I decided to get a second. And then I bought one for my mom. I love this 5 quart so much. It is easy to clean, cooks fast and has elevated my spirits in the kitchen to cook for a smaller household. LOVE it so much!

We bought the COSORI air fryer last year and love cooking with it. Very easy to use and it has replaced all of our deep frying because of results and CLEAN UP. But this review is about what happens when something goes wrong. December 2 we were cooking and half way finish our air fryer turned off. Tried to restart but it would not start until the unit cooled off after a few minutes. Contacted COSORI customer service and had a reply in minutes. Long story short, the people in customer service asked for video, picture of unit label, and purchase receipt via email. I now have a new COSORI begin shipped to me as a replacement. Do Not worry about ordering from this company, they stand by their products.
