Does it have to be parchment paper?

Nope I used paper torn from a paper bag

So after the candle is all burned out and nothing left, what do you do with the parchment paper under the plate? Do you just throw it away or burn it?

Okay my boyfriend is overseas so will this candle still work when he's not here with me

Do you let it burn till it goes out in its own or do you need to blow it out yourself? Do you do this daily till the candle is completely burnt?

I usually let it burn between 15 minutes and 4 hours at a time. Only because I didn't want to risk the glass getting too hot.

What does it mean when you burn it and there’s black smoke and turns it black?

Repeat it again till you get a clear one. If the soot is at the top and the bottom is chest you don’t need to repeat the work.
