Perfect material. Fit perfect. Gives a lot of protection from the sun. True to size. It’s lightweight. I did end up returning it because it was way too big for me. The brim of the hat was too wide for a person of my height. I am 5’2” and it didn’t look right on me. This would be a good hat for a taller person. I ended up ordering a hat with a smaller brim and it looks so much better on me. I definitely would recommend this hat for a tall person. 👍

Great sun hat!!!! I have very sensitive skin. During my recent four week vacation, in Panamá and Costa Rica, I received wonderful sun protection. It folds up and flatly fits in my bag or luggage. I love the wide brim and it fits snuggly on my head. The chin strap was very useful and prevented the hat from blowing off my head as I was exiting a ferry in Costa Rica. I used it everyday during my vacation. I really love it and plan to buy another hat to use when I'm gardening. I highly recommend this wide brim sun hat!!!!

This hat is so effective in keeping the sun off your face and neck and actually kept me cooler on a 4 hour rating trip in Paige AZ . Very sturdy and good quality. Vents on top which help keep you cooler. Light weight and can be compressed into a small backpack. Only con is the brim is so wide can block your view, however a fair trade off for the sun protection.

Great hat! Wore it kayaking and it was brilliant at protecting against the strong Arizona sun. Vented at the top so I didn’t overheat. The wide brim also protected my neck, shoulders and decollate. It was a little breezy but stayed on securely with the size adjustment band and chin strap. I’m planning to get this hat in another color.

I recently was diagnosed with a basal cell carcinoma and am working to be more cautious about sun exposure. this is a reasonably priced, widebrim hat for sun protection on face, head and neck. I appreciate the vents as they will help in super hot weather when walking or gardening. This hat may be also helpful if you have problems with vision when dealing with glaring sunlight. Do be mindful that your vision may be blocked some when walking or crossing streets due to wide brim. While not the most fashionable, this hat does what it is meant to do and does come in several colors.

2nd time purchasing this hat. I love it. I got it in black and take it on all my trips. It protects from the sun, looks stylish, and stays secure due to the chin strap. I love that it is foldable so it travels well. I have worn it while on a float in a lazy river that had unavoidable waterfalls. It held up well to those daily drenchings and still looked great. I lost it in the Dominican Republic when an impatient tsa agent took it before I could slip it in my bag. He said they’d send it through, but of course he didn’t. I was so bummed that I went online and ordered it again just before I hit US soil. That hat has gone on many adventures and seen many countries. This new hat is nice, just doesn’t hold all the memories.

I like the wide brim for gardening and walking at sunrise or sunset. I'll keep it. HOWEVER, it's a hassle! A) Brim is much too stiff. B) The snaps holding the brim up are very tight. To release the snaps, I have to: (1) Stop what I am doing: (2) Release the chinstrap and take the hat off, (3) Use two hands (with fingernails on both hands) to pull the snaps apart, releasing the brim. (4) Then I put the hat back on my head and pull the draw string tight around my chin. It is mid-summer and I need it now, so I'll keep it.
