The cushions are fabric I would not leave these Cushions outside in the rain. Also just note that even though these have a large weight capacity these chairs are very narrow I was not happy with them I felt that the ad was misleading as my husband is As my husband is a bigger person and so the weak capacity was fine but the narrowness of the chair made it uncomfortable
