Outstanding wood treatment – ideal for rough surfaces, DIY use, great absorption, no stickiness.
outstanding! It's extremely high-yield liquid particularly great for rough(er) and unvarnished / unfinished surfaces. I used this for several DIY projects as additional coating for treated wood: planters, benches, slat fence. Use plenty with a brush, take off excess and 2 coats are sufficient. Let dry for a few hours. The substance is not oily and not sticky, it immediately penetrates the wood. No stickyness at all! I bought a liter, painted all my projects including some outdoor decking and am very pleased. The wood darkens while using the liquid but will go back to original colour once it's dried. Highly recommend and will buy again. For furtniture that is already treated, I got a different oil. Regarding the pouring spillage some people here mention: just use an old jar or a clean joghurt cup to transfer some liquid and use from there. Clean tin with some kitchen role - done.

Best wood oil I have found yet
Easily the best wood treatment for outdoors. Teak oil doesn’t usually last a season, but this still looks fresh one year on. Even so I put a top-up coat on my shed, fences and sundry wood items to darken and refresh the finish. Brilliant all round, and goes a long way whether brushed or sprayed. A premium price over bog standard teak oil but worth it.

Very nice sealant
Goes on well with brush, really brings out the grain and beauty of the wood, hope its a long lasting sealant. agree with other reviews about the can design - you lose a lot when pouring out into a smaller container. whoever designed this should go back to college. 2 Month Update Coming up to 2.5 months since a applied this sealant, unfortunately it didn't last long, from the beautiful dark wood grained colour on first application, it started to fade within a couple of weeks and is now beginning to go gray. the whole point of sealing the table and chairs was to maintain the colour for as long as possible. Will not be buying this again.

Does the job!
Fantastic stuff. Made my garden table look new again. It was so easy to apply. I just used a clean washing up sponge. Did a great job. Dried fast and looks great! I only used 2 coats. I can highly recommend!

Easy Application
A great product for an outdoor garden bench, bringing out the nature grain of the wood, in this case Scandinavian green pine, and deepening the tone. Looks really good and very easy to apply the teak oil too, just brush on and wipe off the excess about an hour after application. Highly recommended.

Second thoughts about this.
I was surprised at the consistency of this product as I had used what had purported to be Danish Oil before which was more like a light polyurethane varnish. This however was far less viscose and had an appearance like pink parrafin. As a result the coverage was impressive. It's quicker to apply and it gets absorbed faster. I have given a three seat garden bench and two teak side tables three coats and still have about a quarter of a tin remaining. It has a slight odour but not unpleasant. Don't understand why people on here are critical of the pouring? It's got a safety screw top with a spout diameter of about the size of a pound coin and a pullout nylon plug seal within the spout which can be pressed back when not being used. Poured easily into a plastic paint kettle. I would advise giving the bottle a bit of a shake before pouring. After two winter seasons and two double coats of this product the look of a new teak bench is now dark grey and not what I was expecting. From my experience it is ok on old weathered furniture and it does provide a degree of waterproofing however I would not recommend using this on new furniture if you wish to keep the original colour intact.

Great wood treatment
Excellent product. Treats wood really well and easy to brush apply. Requires 2 coats. Would highly recommend. New garden gate looks great and weather sealed.

This is a follow up to my first review as I’ve purchased a larger 64oz container. This is not like a lacquer or other clear coat type of product you see on most indoor wood furniture and for that reason if you get too much in an area or other issue, you can just wipe it off and let it dry. The ease of you is phenomenal and im 65 years old. I’ve also included pics of previous projects. I’ve moved chairs into my garage as it’s raining outside and the chair that’s shown in the last photo was just completed. I’m letting it dry and after 1 hour I’ll wipe off the excess teak oil and it’s done, beautiful. As a kid I’d refinish the teak on large boats just coming out of dry storage in MN. As I grew older I began to appreciate the value of teak both in its strength and in its resistance to Mother Nature. I have tried many products from Minwax to that what’s actually called Teak Oil. I have never found a product like Nordicare. As a 65 year old cynic, I’ve researched a ton of products and have used over a dozen but the ease of application and the end finish is better than I’ve ever experienced. First you need to make sure than any other finishes are removed either through sanding or through the use of the green scotchguard pads. This product is extremely thin and a little bit goes a long way. I used a sponge and there was little waste and any over runs were quickly absorbed. It’s not a shiny finish more so, a nice natural teak glow that not only repels water but it looks as good today as it did when it was first applied. Definitely the go to product for getting beautiful and long lasting results. .

I’ve already used this product, great finish but expensive and not lasting long. Parcel recieved on delay, no follow up by the vendor. Parcel damaged (still usable) but not adequately protected for shipment (single carton). Finally, one can was unsealed (returned product sent to me?)
