My favorite running/walking shoes
I have owned these for about a year and have run about 750 running miles in them so far, so it's review time. Style: I researched barefoot running but wanted a shoe that I could wear year round and this shoe was perfect, style-wise, to fit the bill. They are just plain black for the most part and I ended up wearing them daily all year. Running/Comfort: I have put in quite a bit of mileage on these shoes and after I learned how to run/walk without the assistance of cushioning, I prefer them to my HOKA's. You should do some research into barefoot running before taking off in these but I no longer have shin/patella/knee pain, it's amazing. Gym: These are the perfect gym shoes for me. I can squat and run on the treadmill without needing a change of shoes. If you lift in Chuck Taylors then you'll love these. It's the closest to thing to barefoot you'll find. Durability: I didn't think they would hold up as well as they did. The one issue I had was my eagle talon of a big toe wearing through the top (quickly fixed with some black thread/needle). That said, this is a common issue for me and Vans Authentics only last me about 3 months before developing this issue, so these perform leagues better. The soles are impressive, very impressive. As stated I've run over 750 miles in these shoes AND wear them every day but the soles themselves are showing some wear but nothing concerning. I will purchase a new pair when my current pair wears out completely and I would recommend them to anyone seeking a good barefoot shoe.

They are okay
Fit is good if you go a size down. They appearance is as expected. Slim and black, but a little long looking. I enjoy zero drops so they are comfortable to me but you feel the pavement and every rock. Durability is hard to say in only a few weeks time. They are made from recycled materials and practically weight nothing. They are like wrapping your foot in fabric. That all being said the cost is too high for what you get. Thin recycled rubber shouldnt be over $100.

This is ASMR for your feet.
There are more than enough reviews on this shoe, so I won't repeat what has already been said about barefoot shoes, this shoe, durability, etc. There are two important things I will touch on: sizing and the lived experience with the shoe. 1. Sizing differs on different Vivo models. Research the specific model you are looking for on various online forums. They do not make half-sizes, so sizing can be a bit tricky. I bought the same size I wear in regular Adidas Stan Smith shoes, and I find that the shoe runs a bit long, but because of the design my foot doesn't slide at all and, after agonizing over whether I ordered the correct size, I am happy and comfortable! 2. This is ASMR for your feet. You will feel every crack in the sidewalk. Your feet will bend around rocks which gives great (and healthy) pressure around your sole. When I get home and take them off, it feels like I've had a foot massage. I find random excuses to go for walks. When I put other, cushioned shoes on, while the support is comfortable, my senses feel stunted. I wonder how crazy it is that for all these years I have been walking with these stunted senses - we have a crazy number of nerve endings in our feet, and they were completely dull in regular shoes. It's almost like losing taste once you've experienced it. Caveat: Barefoot shoes are not for everyone, and if you have a history of pain in your feet, knees, etc. you should consult a medical professional before embarking on this journey. Luckily for me, that is not the case, and I am loving it.

Poor in Build Quality and Quality Control; Bad experience in delivery too
The shoes arrived with the stitching coming apart!!! (strong indicator of a Quality and QC problem with Vivo barefoot, dirt in the sole (indicating that someone is bouncing around product to and from purchasers without doing any actual inspection and follow-up or the delivery is being exceptionally poorly treated), and for a +$170 shoe, the original packaging should be included (probably someone stealing high end product packaging). I am a huge Vivobarefoot fan. I bought my first pair of Primus Lite III more than a year ago and they (the first pair) are going strong, no issues with anything but tread wear. Given that I do everything in them, to include off-road trail running, use as a water shoe, and they go to the gym with me everyday I expected another great invincible product. Arriving with the stitches coming apart!? Unacceptable. I'm willing to bet that their build materials, quality and quality control have been compromised and with an increase in price. I tried them on and they absolutely "feel" different, less flexible, harder, more "plastic" vs leather "feel". comparing them with my pair I bought more than a year ago. I would consider other minimalist shoes, especially at the over $170 price range.

Overpriced and fragile, but good for wide feet and fantastic for flexibility.
To start off with the negatives: It is fragile. Really fragile. I walk ~10 miles(16km) a day, and the sole was around the toes/ball of the foot by the second month. Now, three months later it's now uselessly slick. The outer mesh is weak. Sticks can rip it, pallet wood too. The insole is kinda bad, but a lot of people remove it. Poor size selection, and runs large. If you have wide feet like me(10.5EEEE), then just run the closest size, the width will be fine. But there are positives, especially if you have limited ankle mobility and want to improve things like squat depth and general ankle health. I've struggled with dorsiflexion (lifting toes) range my entire life, but after using these for 3 months my squat range has doubled. Be careful to adapt. I didn't need to, it was fine, but some will. Is it worth $100+ dollars? No. Too easy to break. I'd happily buy it for $70-90, though.
