Silent, Smart, and Reliable Garage Opener!
After replacing my clunky 20-year-old garage opener with the Chamberlain B4613T MYQ Smart Opener, I’m kicking myself for not upgrading sooner. This device seamlessly blends cutting-edge tech with rock-solid performance. Here’s my breakdown: Pros: ✅ Ultra-Quiet Belt Drive: The difference is staggering. My old chain-drive opener sounded like a tractor—this one hums so quietly, I barely notice it. No more waking up the household for late-night arrivals! ✅ MYQ Smart Control: The app lets me open/close the door from anywhere, receive real-time alerts, and even set schedules (e.g., auto-close at bedtime). Forgot to shut the door? Fixed it from the grocery store. Lifesaver! ✅ Battery Backup (MVP Feature): During a recent power outage, the backup kicked in instantly. No manual lifting or panic—just smooth operation. It runs for hours, and the rechargeable battery is easy to monitor via the app. ✅ 3/4-HP Motor: Handles my heavy insulated double-door effortlessly. No straining, even in freezing temps. Feels industrial-grade but whisper-quiet. ✅ Easy Installation: Took about 2 hours solo. The instructions are crystal clear, and the pre-programmed MYQ technology synced with my Wi-Fi in minutes. No tech headaches! Final Thoughts: This opener is worth every penny. The peace of mind from battery backup, the convenience of remote control, and the near-silent operation make it a no-brainer upgrade. Perfect for tech lovers, frequent travelers, or anyone tired of garage door noise.

Exactly what the repair folks recommended and we are very pleased
Our garage door system was beyond repair, so we needed a replacement. A garage door technician recommended this unit, and after doing my own research locally, I found that Amazon had the best price, fast delivery (within 24 hours), and the option to add an extended warranty. The Chamberlain B4613T MYQ Smart Garage Door Opener is extremely quiet, very well constructed, and performs exactly as advertised. The MyQ connectivity is a great feature—it allows you to control and monitor the garage door right from your phone, which adds a lot of convenience and peace of mind. Overall, we’re very happy with this purchase and would absolutely recommend it.

No Problem Installation
This opener (B4613T) installed and operated without any problems. The parts and pieces all fit together without problems. The design is very nice. It is so quiet, as well. The assembly manual told me exactly what to do, although it needed to be read carefully. It took me about 3 half-day sessions to assemble, install, and wire everything. This included totally reconfiguring the motor hanging brackets from my 30+ year old Genie screw-drive unit. I also built a temporary lift pulley to lift and hold the unit in place with ropes rather than trying to balance it on ladders. That really helped. The door switch and safety sensors wired in easily and the sensor alignment took about 10 minutes. The open and close stop positions were easy to set. The opener code programmed into my car easily, and the wireless keypad set up with no problems. Usually on projects like this, there's at least one "gotcha" that requires a trip to the hardware store, but there were none here. I haven't tried the MyQ app yet, but so far, I'm totally pleased.

Good quiet garage door opener but instruction in app suck
I really love this garage door opener and would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the lack of instructions. The BILT app really sucks and is worthless. I had to waste about an hour trying to find the real instruction manual on the internet because the garage door opener did not include any. Once I had the instructions, install was smooth. I did receive a non-functioning wall unit, but after contacting customer service they sent a replacement. Compared to my Overhead Door, chain driven, garage door opener, this thing is extremely quite. You cannot hear when the garage door opener is running, even when I am at the door that goes from the garage to the house. I have read some people complain about the light on the back of the unit, however I have not had any problem with that location. It still lights up everything in the garage. Once installed and everything was operating, I have been very pleased with this purchase. However, whoever decide to stop including physical instruction manuals with this opener should be fired.

Exceptional Garage Door Opener
Can't say enough about this opener. Instructions include a video of exactly how to connect to wi-fi and hook up. Compatible with My Q. LED lights are bright. So very quiet to operate.

Wish I could return or burn it
The opener is installed and it is quiet. Which understand is the most important but please do not put smart in the title. I have done home automation for many years and this is such hot garbage. To begin I paid someone to install it, first question is where is the manual. Well trying to explain Bilt and give them my iPad (which locked of course) was not the best. They just wanted a manual with diagrams not an animation with 25 screens to go through. After they got that figured out and installed I went to install MyQ and got it connected and that is the end of anything working. I specially bought this model for Homelink and after HOURS with 2 different cars it will not connect. If there was fine print that I missed when I checked compatibility I guess that is on me but there should not be any. I would return for that alone if I hadn’t paid more to have it installed then I paid for the opener. Additionally when I go to homelink for instructions 4 years of my truck are just missing in the list. Even better they do not list this model of opener or any in this line at all. Then based on what turned out to be old or wrong information I understood it would work with HomeKit if I paid a fee which I was willing to do. The app also has a section for HomeKit btw. But no when they removed support for MyQ in every platform in 2024 I cannot find a way to do it even for free. To top it all off when I looked at HomeKit in MyQ I tried to select my home and it was listed weird so I tried to remove it, well it deleted my entire home in apple home kit. It HAD over a 100 devices and I will have to start over or try to restore my phone from backup and hope it comes back. This is includes our front door which means the family is currently locked out until I can get it re-added which is not working because it already associated. So I will be spending time installing and wiring a 3rd party device to do basic functions in my home. Why they think we want to access their crappy app instead of using some kind of a home automation hub created by companies that know what they are doing I have no idea. If it’s wasn’t installed I would return it so fast.

Premium features are not cheap
This unit has features that provide convenience and security. I have three doors with similar openers. With my iphone, these openers alert me when they cycle. I can see door status and operate them remotely. With many years of using these internet based features I find they are rock steady with almost no system down time. With the battery backup feature DC drive motors are employed and they have acceleration at initiation and completion of the cycles. The motor slowly starts and nearing the end of a cycle, it slows down so there is no start stop jerking. They are extremely quiet. If there is a power failure, the doors still operate. Using provided transmitters, vehicle Homelink or the outside button pad I can gain access to my house even without utility power. The light is bright internal LED. On the negative side, this unit replaces a similar Chamberlain opener made in 2015 which intermittently failed to remember the open/close stops resulting in failure to close. Reprogramming the stops restored function for a few days and then the failure returned. Based on the high cost of a replacement main board, I opted to buy this new opener. So for you math lovers a life span of 7 years equates to about $40/year to own one of these. (I have three). If you want the internet intelligence and do not want to buy a new opener, Chamberlain makes a kit that adds that functionality to a non-smart opener. (Chamberlain MyQ Wi-Fi Smart Garage Door Hub - Model Number MYQ-G0302) I have one of these kits and it integrates into the myQ app perfectly. As far as Alexa integration, I looked at that and it appears convoluted so I didn't lose a lot of time on it. I expected more than 7 years life from my previous unit and hope for 10-15 with the new one. However, in my experience more complexity breeds higher failure rates but buzzers and bells thrill me so I will live with that.
