Kindle version is difficult to read on pc. Would not allow me to scroll properly. Some of the chapters are incessantly long and plodding. Information is good, but sometimes seems to be repetitive from chapter to chapter.

Good comprehensive treatment of the literature on systems thinking. If you are looking to learn about complexity theory and systems thinking, this book would serve you well. The author has original content, plus extensive reference to the literature.

Book by an outstanding human factors author. However, Human Factors are not the only element involved in providing care to patients safely..

This is a great book. A 5 star book, I know because I have read it before. The Kindle formatting for this book is horrible. It makes a great book unreadable. It is a disgrace and an affront to digital media everywhere. Digital Media sees this book and hangs it head, first feeling shame for book in its digital form, and then starts to feel guilty and dirty inside knowing that they share the same electronic bitsoul. Yes, the Kindle formatting is that bad. Buy the paperback.

This is a nice introduction to the study of human factors in patient safety. The author uses examples and narratives to make what some consider a dry topic very interesting. All healthcare providers should avail themselves to the information contained in this quick read.

Everyone interested in safety should be reading every book penned by Sidney Dekker.
