Ipevo 5-866-1-08-00 IS-01 Portable Interactive Whiteboard System

Fantastic item! Fantastic item! I Recommend it for all current and new teachers, student teachers too, I am currently working to finish my teaching program, at the University of Southern California. The current school where I am finishing my student teaching service, does not have smartboards or any form of interactive technology, this is something that most higher level schools have implemented in their school sites. Being that I value education and new technology usage, and integrating it into our schools, I decided to search for some interactive technology that would turn any whiteboard into an interactive smart board like system. In searching for this technology I found out about the IPEVO interactive smartboard. At first, I was thinking that that low price meant that I was going to get a low quality item… BUT ! WOW! This item should be worth more than its $149 asking price, the interactive system works really well. The students at my student teaching site were impress and were really surprise to see it working, some even stated that it was “magic” that was making me write on the whiteboard without using markers. ☺ I already had a few faculty members asking me where I bought it and what’s the name of my interactive equipment? This IPEVO has created something that should help lots of schools serving low income communities. PROS: works like a smartboard, costs less, easy to use, easily engages students, $149 vs $3000 smartboard is no brainer!, small, portable, easy to install, no need to install or destroy any walls to install CONS: requires time to get use to the pen if left handed ( I am), practice is needed to get use to the annotator program, Shadows do interfere with the RF signal, calibration can be tricky ( finding the “sweet” spot is required) In all! I highly recommend this product to any teacher, senior teacher, and student teacher. Student teachers should buy it as soon as they take a look at their student teaching site and if their site does not have a smartboard.

Impossible to calibrate when your classroom projector isn't mounted to the ceiling! Doesn't work with PowerPoint presentations. Unfortunately, I purchased this at the end of the school year and once fall came around and I could try the pen with students it just doesn't work. My students were so excited to help me get this pen working. I missed the return date, only a month. I really tried to get this to work but it just wouldn't calibrate. We never got a chance to use it. What a waste of educational money. I really like to return it and get something that will work. I was hoping since this is an Amazon product there would be a better return policy. Educational funds don't come along very often.

Everything listed and then some is awesome. This is literally a SMARTBOARD without the giant cost. The projector is the only extra item you need with the laptop. It allows you to annotate, screen cap, record the whole 9 yards that smartnotebook lets you do. Cons: THE CALIBRATION IS SUCH A PAIN IN THE NECK!! There could be a hair in front of th lens and it wont read the pen in that section. However, this is an awesome product. Some takeaways: If you have your own classroom and you dont transition anywhere it is perfect. BUT if you do transition, setup time can take 5-10 mins of class time. unless your co teacher is there in the previous class so thats a downfall. I love it and keeping it for the better part of the future. Note: consider having a wireless version as the cord can become an issue.

AMAZING INTERACTIVE WHITEBOARD!!! This sensor is so perfect for my classroom!! It is great for writing the examples on the board and the kids love it so much!! It makes my lessons so much more interesting and fun for the kids! I will be using this so much in the future!! The pen works great!! I use mine on a wall and it works perfectly!! I am so happy with this product!! It is super easy and quick to set up and calibrate!! Thank you so much!!

What a cool product when it works. I purchased to use at school and there is a software glitch that my IT department is still try’s to fugure out. Right now it is an expensive clicker. It we can get the other features to work it will be great.

So for the purpose of supporting this product, I did like it. It did install easy. It is mega easy to calibrate and it does what it says it does. The problem I had was not with the product itself.. Once I got our projector in and I hooked this pen system up to the laptop, and then the projector to the laptop; I realized I had too many components in the equation. Wires every where for the projector, the camera forbthe pen, the laptop. It was a bit much. Then I started thinking if I took the pen out of the equation and did the projector on a whiteboard. I use regular dry erase pens, it accomplishes the same thing. This pen would work far better in a school setting and a wonderful option for schools who cannot afford the smartboards, as you have the ability to print the work done as well as save it to the laptop. This is an excellent feature. But it was just not what I was looking for. If it was, it is worth every penny.

Very difficult to hook up. I can’t reach customer service. Useless product and customer service. It will not connect. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. YOU WOULD DO BETTER TO BITE THE BULLET AND BY A SMARTBOARD IF YOU JUST WANT OR NEED ONE THAT BAD. NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE. Amazon doesn't help. They can't even reach this vendor and I have to wait for a refund. I don't have that kind of time or money. I'm a teacher and need the product. If Amazon can't reach one of their own vendors and they will not respond to Amazon, what makes them think they will respond to me? This is a mess. Amazon should screen their vendors better than this. It's the customer that suffers and have to fight to get their money back.

El dispositivo funciona bien, siempre y cuando se cuente con un buen proyector (resolución nativa 1080p, como mínimo) y un espacio mediano. Es una buena opción de "bajo" presupuesto para hacer más interactivas las clases. Aunque calibrarlo es un poco tedioso, con algo de práctica se vuelve más rápido. En mi caso, solía haber menos precisión de la pluma cerca de los bordes y eso dificulta hacer clic en íconos pequeños.

Arrivato in due giorni, l'ho provato oggi devo dire che è un bel prodotto, penso di riuscire a rendere migliori le mie presentazioni, forse valeva la pena spendere qualcosa in più per la versione wireless ma non mi lamento. Colpa mia.

Perfetto per l'utilizzo. ottimo durante formazioni on-line, perfetta reattività, non perde un colpo nelle sue funzioni (basta che sia calibrato correttamente prima di ogni lezione. basta lavagne con gesso, di metallo o di carta, niente più pennarelli. perfetta compatibilità tra i vari dispositivi. fare attenzione se si usa una tv per trasformarla in LIM, meglio applicare una pellicola protettiva allo schermo. comodissimi gli attacchi supporto a corredo. usato in modo assiduo, preciso ed affidabile. consigliatissimo.

Worked better than I expected, I took a gamble as my set up is a 3m rear projection glass screen, I have the camera placed behind the screen, on top of the projector, looking square on, so there are no shadows or blank spots. It works perfectly.
