Rite in the Rain Weatherproof Side Spiral Notebook, 4.625" x 7", Black Cover, Universal Pattern (No. 773)

Been using these for about 10 years. They fit in my pants rear pockets, last all year long making my field notes and it doesn't matter if I sweat, it rains or whatever as long as you do not use a gel pen. Recommended to use high quality ink pens or the rite in the rain pens. The covers never come apart, and perfect for anybody doing DOT work outdoors that has to have permanent field notes. At the end of each year I label it and put it in the fire safe as permanent records of all the jobs that I did all year.

Handy little notebook I take for mushrooming. Make sure you don't use felt pens but proper ballpoints when writing in it.

I've used them in my machine shop and college they have held up to coolant and oil pretty well and are durable. The company's special pen stops working if used alot on the paper I believe the wax builds up in the inks outlets and clogs it up. If I clean it and use it on regular paper it's fine. So I recommend using pencils for there paper after experience of usage. Ritr Pens=good for regular paper writes well or short notes on the ritr paper, over time they will clog up. Pencils= work best for their special paper.

Great pad to keep in my backpack i carry everyday to work that holds all the little things i might/could need. This has been great to take notes and write things down that are important so i can easily go back and find all the things i need for incidents that occur. My car was recently totaled from a deer, and needed to go through that process with the insurance company and find another car to purchase. This pad made everything much easier to keep everything in one place. I work construction for a utility company and the waterproof feature was a big plus. Not cause I’m going diving or camping in the woods - but just in case i come in from out of the rain, or even spill a drink while sitting in the truck. My only wish is the spirals were large enough to hold their own pen inside them (the simple metal pen from fisher). That would make keeping both of them together easier. That pen is also a great purchase. It always works, and i do a lot of filling out form for traffic control and police we hire, sometimes getting filled out while leaning against a vehicle. The pen always works no matter what angle I’m writing with it. These two are a great pair.

Overall, I love these field notebooks. They work great for geological field studies. The only issue I've ever had with these books is that they don't erase well. My pens always tend to clog up when I'm in the field, so I usually opt to use pencils. However, whenever I need to erase something it will usually just leave a dark smudge instead of properly erasing, and it will take away a bit of the waterproof surface.

Definitely waterproof, where you can even stick it under the sink and would still be okay, and I was surprised how much like normal paper the pages felt like. I've noticed though that it's a bit harder to erase pencil on it, but it's not something that bothers me

I’be used these little notebooks for years now as data books for all my long range rifles to record round count, loading data etc. This means they see regular use outdoors in a variety of conditions. The paper is never affected by dampness or dirt. Never tears and is a great writing surface for pens and pencil. I finally came to appreciate just how good these were when I purchased an “off brand” notebook that wa a bit cheaper, yet had decent reviews. There was no comparison between the two. The off brand might have paper that is water resistant, but that matters very little if it tears with the lightest pressure from a pencil. I tossed those new notebooks in my shop for scrap paper and ordered another 3 of these Rite in Rain notebooks and never looked back. There are times when you just need to spend the money and know that you’re getting a good product. I’m all for saving a buck, but in this case I wasted money experimenting with substitutes. I’d rather pay a few dollars more for a product I can trust to hold up to my intended use case. In this case, there is no substitute for Rite in the Rain notebooks. They just work. When I’m shooting a rifle match and the rain is misting down, I don’t want to wonder if my data book is going to fall apart. With Rite in the Rain notebooks, that’s not even a consideration.

I have had several of these note books they hold up great for construction style work.

Ciertamente aguanta el agua como dicen, se escribe bien en él. Por lo demás un cuaderno normal y corriente sin más.

Notes molto funzionale , li uso da molto tempo e mi sono sempre trovato bene. L'unico neo riguardo questo ordine.... mi aspettavo la confezione da tre pezzi, invece mi e arrivato un singolo notes, il dettaglio no è molto chiaro, spero che Amazon risolva, in modo che sia chiara la quantità.
