Daily Maintenance Bird Food, Crumbles, 10-Pound

If you are having trouble getting your stubborn birds to eat pellet, or are new to bird keeping and want a good pellet to feed your birdies, RoudyBush is perfect for you. In my case it was the former. Some of my birds adapted well to eating pellets after years of a seed only diet (before I adopted them), but two of them really struggled. I initially tried to adapt them with the Zupreem pellets, but they would rather starve than eat those (my other birds were fine with them, but I digress). When I put everyone on RoudyBush, those who were used to pellet loved it, and the other two started to try it. After weeks of offering it to them, paired with their friends eating the pellet in front of them, they now only eat this pellet. Great food for our flock. We feed this as a healthy staple for a Linnie, Conure, and cockatiel. It has kept them plenty healthy and we are able to liven it up from time to time with good treats.

I like this product for the ability to get a lot (10 pounds), and get good nourishment for the birds, but not break the bank. This bag lasts a long time because it is a dense nutrition with very little waste. 10 pounds of seeds would be consumed faster than 10 pounds of these crumbles, so for the cost, the food will last you a long time. I give it 4 stars though because it is corn based- but that is not a deal breaker because I have 35 parakeets... together they eat a lot.... and I want to provide a better nutrition than a seed diet. And no strange colors and junk. Harrison's Organic & TOPS Organic Bird Food are my preferred brands for my Lovebirds and Amazons but I would go broke if I feed the 35 little chattering scavenging scoundrels the same food! So Roudybush Daily Maintenance is a perfect choice. Roudybush packaging is very helpful with the birds pictured on the bag are indicators of the size pellet for the type of bird. Now I know that Small is too large for parakeets but just OK for Lovebirds. Crumbles, are perfect for parakeets and Lovebirds. The parakeets took to it well- when they are hungry they will try anything. But I knew I would have a few holdouts. So I mixed in seeds using less and less during 7 days to make sure that all the birds knew it was food and to eat it. It worked and they all enjoy the Roudybush Crumbles. I recommend this over seeds or other formulated brands, because it is less mess, good health benefits and good $ value. *For an added boost of nutrition, since corn is just a filler, I mix the entire package with 6 tablespoons of Avix Bird Booster in a huge bowl and then return it to the package.

We have three Green Cheek Conures who absolutely LOVE this stuff! This came highly recommended from our local Bird Pet store, as well as several people on the Conure pages. One of our 3 is a rather fussy eater, so I wasnt sure how he would take to it. I sprinkled a bit over their morning chop, and hoped for the best. All three took to it without hesitation. I have bought the crumbles and the Mini, and they enjoy both. However, what I love about the crumbles is that it seems to generate much less waste. More of it goes in their little bellies, rather than all over the floor, or on the bottom of their cages. They all get excited when they see me open the bag. Also, I love that they are getting the nutrients they need when I am not able to give them their chop
